ABC and ESPN Present UEFA European Football Championship 2020
ABC will broadcast five matches, the first UEFA European Football Championship match on network since 2008, including the second match on Saturday, June 13.

Five Matches on ABC Mark Return of UEFA EUROs to Network Television for the First Time Since 2008

All 51 Matches Live Across ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC

All Matches Streamed Live on the ESPN and ABC Apps

ABC, ESPN and ESPN2 will combine to televise more than 140 live hours of the UEFA European Football Championship 2020 beginning Friday, June 12, with the opening match in Rome, through the final on Sunday, July 12, at the historic Wembley Stadium in London. The 51 matches of the quadrennial international competition will be played across 12 European cities.

ABC will broadcast five matches, the first UEFA European Football Championship match on network since 2008, including the second match on SATURDAY, JUNE 13 (2:30 p.m. EDT). ESPN will televise 39 UEFA EURO 2020 matches, while ESPN2 air six. The matches will be streamed live on both the ESPN and ABC apps.

STUDIO PROGRAMMING:

ESPN match telecasts for the UEFA European Football Championship will include pregame, halftime and postgame studio segments.

· ESPN/ESPN2: Every ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC match telecast will feature a 30-minute pregame, halftime and postgame reaction.

· EURO Tonight will air each matchday following the last match of the day on ESPN/ESPN2.

· ESPN's flagship news and information program SportsCenter will air in-between morning matches throughout the Tournament.

With all 20 of the 24 national teams qualified to play in the championship ranked among the top 55 teams in the FIFA World Rankings (October 2019), the UEFA European Football Championship is arguably the most prestigious and competitive international soccer tournament in the world. The first championship was in 1960, hosted by France.

To commemorate the 60th year from the first championship, UEFA EURO 2020 matches will be played at 12 venues/countries across Europe - Amsterdam, Baku (Azerbaijan), Bilbao (Spain), Bucharest, Budapest, Copenhagen, Dublin, Glasgow, London, Munich, Rome and St. Petersburg.

ESPN has been the U.S. home of the UEFA European Football Championship since 2008. Spain (2008 and 2012) and Portugal (2016) have been crowned champions of football in Europe on an ESPN network.

· UEFA EURO 2016 Champions Portugal, led by five-time FIFA Player of the Year Ronaldo, returns to defend the trophy

· The last four FIFA World Cup champions - France (2018), Germany (2014), Spain (2010) and Italy (2006) - will compete in UEFA EURO 2020

· Five of the eight countries to ever win a FIFA World Cup will participate (Germany, Spain, Italy, France, England)

· 12 of the 14 European teams from the 2018 World Cup have qualified to play in the tournament. The other two - Iceland and Serbia - are in the playoffs

· Five of the last seven FIFA World Cup finalists are in the tournament (Germany, Spain, Italy, France twice)

· UEFA EURO 2020 will feature seven of the last 12 FIFA World Cup semifinalists

· Six of the current top 10 teams in FIFA rankings (October 2019) for men's national teams will be in the quadrennial international football tournament

· 11 of the top 15 players in the 2018 Ballon d'Or voting are expected to represent their respective national teams in the competition
