BLACK LIGHTNING (The CW) - Co-star Damon Gupton posted to social media on Sunday he is exiting the series after three seasons. (@DamonGupton, 1/19)
CENTRAL AVE (Syndication) - Debmar-Mercury's magazine series, hosted by Julissa Bermudez and Sanya Richards-Ross, is officially a go for the fall. The half-hour entry, which originated as a weekday strip during its test run last November, however will now pivot to offer two half-hour episodes each week designed for weekend telecasts. Will Packer Media's Will Packer and Kelly Smith are the executive producers with Monique Chenault serving as showrunner. (Deadline.com)
GOOD PEOPLE (Amazon) - The streaming service has passed on its comedy pilot from Lee Daniels and Whitney Cummings. No reason was given about the decision for the project, which also featured Lisa Kudrow, Martin Short and Greg Kinnear. (Deadline.com)
LEGACIES (The CW) - Jazz Terrier has booked a recurring role on the series as Chad, "a twenty-something, laid-back lackey of the Necromancer." (Deadline.com)
LIZA ON DEMAND (YouTube) - The Liza Koshy-led comedy has been renewed for a third season. (Deadline.com, 1/18)
SEVERANCE (Apple TV+) - Britt Lower has been cast in the Adam Scott/Patricia Arquette-led thriller as Helly, "a woman who struggles to find peace with the decision she made to do the severance procedure." (Deadline.com)
TEMPLE (Spectrum, New!) - Charter Communications has acquired the U.S. rights to the U.K. drama, about Daniel Milton (Mark Strong), "a respected surgeon who finds himself drawn into the underground world of doomsday preppers and bank robbers when he tries to save his wife's life, by setting up an illicit clinic with obsessive yet surprisingly resourceful misfit Lee (Daniel Mays), in the vast network of tunnels beneath Temple tube station in London." Carice Van Houten also stars as Anna, "a guilt-ridden medical researcher whose past is entangled with Daniel's"; with Tobi King-Bakare as "fugitive bank-robber Jamie." Season one is expected to roll out on Spectrum in spring while production on season two starts shortly. Sky's Gabriel Silver and Hera Pictures' Liza Marshall and Mark Strong are the executive producers of the project, which is based on Norwegian scripted format "Valkryie." Sky was also behind fellow Spectrum entry "Curfew," which was canceled after one season. (Deadline.com, 1/19)
TOMMY (CBS) - Philip Anthony-Rodriguez is the latest to recur on the midseason drama as Rascal Santos, "a wary, smart and dedicated Vice Squad Commander who works closely with Tommy when one of his operations might be compromised." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS PROJECT (YouTube, New!) - All3Media's Main Event Media has landed a six-part documentary series at the streaming service which "goes behind the last 50 years of Women's Gymnastics." Due this summer, the project "will feature interviews with prominent gymnasts." (Deadline.com, 1/18)
