ADOPTED (ABC, New!) - Jimmy Kimmel is set to team with Shawn Vance and Daril Fannin for a single-camera comedy pilot in which "when a Green Beret returns home to Texas from military service, he and his family struggle with the challenges of adopting his new brother, a 12-year-old Russian boy." Said trio penned the pilot script and will executive produce alongside Kimmelot's Brent Montgomery for ABC Studios. (Deadline.com)
ANIMAL KINGDOM (TNT) - Scarlett Abinante and Houston Towe are both bound for the upcoming fifth season as the young versions of Pope (Shawn Hatosy) and his fraternal twin Julia. (TVLine.com)
DEBRIS (NBC) - Riann Steele is set to star opposite Jonathan Tucker in the drama pilot, about two agents from two different continents and two different mindsets - CIA's Bryan Beneventi (Tucker) and MI6's Finola Jones (Steele) - must work together to investigate when wreckage from a destroyed alien spacecraft has mysterious effects on humankind. Steele's Finola Jones is "a classic rule follower, an agent with MI6 who is partnered with Bryan Beneventi to investigate strange occurrences." (Deadline.com)
HAWAII FIVE-0 (CBS) - Lance Gross is bound for the show's two-episode season finale on April 3 as Lincoln Cole, "a decorated war hero and ex-Marine Gunnery Sergeant with the Fleet Anti-Terrorism Security Team. Lincoln's actions as an anonymous good Samaritan now have him in the cross-hairs of some very dangerous people, and McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) and Five-0 are determined to protect him at all costs." Said role includes an option to become a series regular. (Deadline.com)
HOME ECONOMICS (ABC) - Topher Grace has signed on to star and executive produce the just-ordered single-camera comedy pilot as Tom, "the middle sibling and middle-class, but definitely not middle-brow. He's an intellectual, a novelist who's had a couple books that sold decently, but his last one did not. He strives to be where his brother is financially, but fears he'll slip down to his sister's level. He's in a creative field so his income fluctuates. That wasn't such a concern when he was starting out but now he's plagued by financial anxiety after having twins." (Deadline.com)
INSATIABLE (Netflix) - The streaming service has officially pulled the plug on the drama after two seasons. (Variety.com)
LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN, A (Amazon) - Amazon Studios' small screen take on the feature film has cast Chanté Adams as Max, "a pitcher with an arm that could make men weep"; Kelly McCormack as Jess, "a shortstop from Moosejaw, Canada, Jess was born to play the game"; Roberta Colindrez as Mita, "a cool, calm and collected pitcher from Texas ranch country, Mita's got a killer poker face, on and off the field"; and Melanie Field as Jo, "a power hitter from Queens who has survived countless escapades with her best friend, Greta." In addition, Jamie Babbit is directing from a script by Abbi Jacobson and Will Graham with Hailey Wierengo likewise executive producing. (THR.com)
POWER BOOK III: RAISING KANAN (Starz) - Omar Epps has been cast in the franchise's third installment in a yet-to-be-revealed role. (Deadline.com)
SEX DIARIES (HBO, New!) - Vox Media Studios and director Jenny Carchman are developing a verité docuseries at the pay channel inspired by New York Magazine's sex and dating column of the same name, which selected "one person each week to anonymously recount a seven-day diary of his or her sex life." No other auspices were given. (THR.com)
SUPERGIRL (The CW) - Chris Wood (Mon-El), Odette Annable (Reign) and Sam Witwer (Agent Liberty) will all drop by the show's 100th installment on February 23, which also introduces the previously announced new Mr. Mxyzptlk (Thomas Lennon). (TVLine.com)
THIRTYSOMETHING(ELSE) (ABC) - Patrick Fugit is the latest to be cast in the revival series pilot as Ethan Weston, "the son of Nancy (Patty Wettig) and Elliot (Timothy Busfield). He's a brilliant musician who refuses to compromise his artistic principles in order to succeed. He's also a recovering drug addict with a lifelong history of depression, and has now had a baby with his current girlfriend, Kat. Ethan is not parent material - nor is Kat - and they often leave the baby with his parents when they go off to play gigs. But he is ferociously determined to stay sober, and takes offense when his mother accuses him of using again. Unfortunately, it's not clear whether or not he's telling the truth." (Deadline.com)
VEGAS HIGH (HBO Max) - The network's 1990s-set coming-of-age period drama pilot has tapped Reagan Rozas as Laura Hernandez, "a sweet, poetic soul and devout Mormon who lives in Las Vegas with her blended family while attending Vegas High"; Kyanna Simpson as Olive, "another of Laura's non-Mormon friends, with a sharp skepticism about Mormon values"; Emma Meisel as Maddie, "Laura's best friend, Maddie is a devout Mormon girl"; Lexi Simonsen as Frankie, "one of Laura's non-Mormon friends"; Kevin Rahm as Bishop Ted, "gentle and handsome, a man with an easy smile and an upbeat, devout, Pat Boone-like manner"; and Da'Vinchi as Isaac, "the hot best friend to Josh (Rivera) and the object of Laura's silent passion."
