MAPLEWORTH MURDERS (Quibi) - The Lorne Michaels-produced comedy series is slated to roll out on Monday, August 10. (Variety.com)
MURDER HOUSE FLIP (Quibi) - Executive producer Josh Berman has signed his fifth consecutive overall deal with Sony Pictures Television, keeping his Osprey Productions banner at the studio until 2025. (Deadline.com)
NICK CANNON (Syndication) - Katy Murphy Davis and Matt Strauss have been named showrunners of the upcoming nationally syndicated daytime talk show, which will now launch on October 5, two weeks later than previously announced. (Deadline.com)
PHOEBE AND HER UNICORN (Nickelodeon, New!) - The cable channel is expected to land the rights to Dana Simpson's comic strip, eyeing it as a multi-platform franchise across an TV animated series, movies and more. The project "follows 9-year-old Phoebe Howell, a girl in the fourth grade, who deals with childhood challenges alongside her unicorn Marigold, friend Max and enemy Dakota." Roy Lee and Miri Yoon of Vertigo Entertainment and Bridget McMeel of Andrews McMeel Entertainment are presumably executive producing. (Deadline.com)
SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE (FOX) - The network has shuttered the show's planned 17th season due to the COVID-19 production shutdown. "As a result, while we were looking forward to its return this summer, we cannot meet the standards we've set for viewers and contestants in light of the show's unique format, intricate production schedule and limited time," the network said in a statement. UNTITLED RICKY VELEZ PROJECT (HBO, New!) - Comedian Ricky Velez is set to team with Judd Apatow and Judah Miller on a comedy pilot for the pay channel.
