COUNCIL OF DADS (NBC) - The network will not renew the summer series for a second season. Look for the de facto finale next Thursday. (Deadline.com)
ESCAPE THE NIGHT (YouTube) - The semi-scripted murder-mystery series has been canceled after four seasons. (Variety.com)
IN MEMORIAM (HBO Max, New!) - Writer Charley Miles and director Niels Arden Oplev have set up a potential drama at the streaming service "set in the near future. Whilst humanity was busy uploading photos to the cloud and digitising every book ever written, the human brain was quietly evolving, and we lost the capacity to store long-term memory. But Britain's National Health Service developed the cure: a government-issued memory chip. When 17-year-old Somalia finds her mum dead on their living room floor, she makes an unprecedented, and criminal, decision to implant her mother's memory chip. Somalia's search for identity sends her spiraling into an underground world of digital militants and authoritarian dispute, until she finds herself at the heart of a conspiracy; one that will unite her mother's past and the dark origins of this scientific breakthrough." Buccaneer Media's Richard Tulk-Hart, Tony Wood and Anna Burns and Participant's Jeff Skoll and Miura Kite will likewise executive produce. (Deadline.com)
LOVE LINDSEY, FOREVER (Quibi, New!) - Writer Mattson Tomlin and director Gia Coppola are set to team for a new series which "tells the story of Lindsey, who is 22, in love and dying. But when she learns of a company experimenting with new cryogenic technology, she makes a desperate bid for a second chance at life. What follows is a decade-spanning love story with twisted consequences." Oddfellows Entertainment's Chris Ferguson and Automatik's Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Fred Berger and Rian Cahill are also executive producing. (Deadline.com)
