Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt and Jenny Taft Return for BIG NOON SATURDAY Games of the Week
Former Head Coach Mark Helfrich Returns to FOX Sports as Game Analyst
NEW YORK - Saturdays start on FOX again this fall, led by some of college football's most exciting, relevant and knowledgeable experts in the booth and at the desk. Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt and Jenny Taft team up for the fourth consecutive year to call the network's biggest game of the week - BIG NOON SATURDAY sponsored by AT&T Business - at 12:00 PM ET. Today's announcement was made by Brad Zager, Executive Producer, Executive Vice President/Head of Production and Operations, FOX Sports.
Johnson, Klatt and Taft open the season Saturday, Sept. 12, in Manhattan, Kan., for Arkansas State at K-State, which was moved to 12:00 PM ET on FOX after Louisiana Tech-Baylor was postponed.
Former Oregon head coach Mark Helfrich returns to FOX Sports as a game analyst, having served in the same role for the network during the 2017 season. Helfrich pairs with play-by-play announcer Joe Davis, for Eastern Kentucky at West Virginia on Saturday at 12:00 PM ET on FS1.
Rounding out FOX Sports' opening weekend of fall college football coverage, longtime broadcast partners Tim Brando and Spencer Tillman enter their sixth year together calling games for FOX Sports, opening their season in Lawrence, Kan., as Kansas hosts Coastal Carolina under the lights at 10:00 PM ET on FS1.
Each college football Saturday starts with an expanded two-hour edition of BIG NOON KICKOFF at 10:00 AM ET on FOX. Host Rob Stone is joined by analysts Brady Quinn, Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart and Urban Meyer live from the network's Los Angeles studios. Reporter Bruce Feldman also joins the show each week, delivering the latest updates from around college football. Rules analysts Mike Pereira and Dean Blandino add their expertise on the most important calls of the day.
Led by its BIG NOON SATURDAY game of the week, FOX College Football enjoyed its most-watched regular season in 2019 with an average audience of 3,727,000 - a +12% increase over the previous year. BIG NOON KICKOFF averaged 1,206,000 in its debut season, a +23% jump over the network's 2018 college football pregame show.
College football on FOX and FS1 is simulcast on the new FOX Sports app, which provides live streaming video of FOX Sports content through iOS and Android devices.
