BBC AMERICA UNVEILS BRAND REFRESH FEATURING A BOLD NEW LOOK AND POV: WE'RE NOT BRITISH, WE'RE "BRIT-ISH"

NEW YORK - April 23, 2021- BBC AMERICA has refreshed its brand design and identify with a new on-air look and presence informed by a new POV and tagline "Brit-ish," which celebrates its dual British and American heritage. The home of Doctor Who, Killing Eve, and Top Gear, as well as iconic American fare has a new design package seen across its on-air presence, graphics, promotional spots, and more, including various on-air promos featured here.

"We're excited for BBC America to stand out in a bold new way through our new refreshed brand design" said Kevin Vitale, SVP Creative and Campaign Marketing, AMC Networks. "Our acclaimed programming and entire slate will get the wonderfully brilliant, bold, and sharp-witted benefits of being Brit-ish that our audiences have come to know and love."

"This new refreshed work around our BBC America brand recognizes a British sensibility given a distinctly American twist that allows our unique 'Brit-ish-ness' to shine through," said Blake Callaway, General Manager of BBC America.

The refreshed branding comes in time for the return of BBC AMERICA's Top Gear, the world's biggest motoring show, which returns for its 30th season on Sunday, April 25 at 8pm ET/7c. Other upcoming highlights for the network include a new Meerkat Manor: Rise of the Dynasty, once again narrated by BAFTA-winning actor, Bill Nighy, which premieres on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 8/7c.

Saturdays continue to be the mainstay for the network's "Wonderstruck" natural history premieres, including Attenborough's Journey (Saturday May 8 at 8/7c), a retrospective on the legendary naturalist himself, as well as China: Nature's Ancient Kingdom (Saturday, May 15 at 8/7c), a deep dive into the world's largest conservation project in China. This summer, BBC AMERICA will see the premiere of Eden, a natural history event series exploring untouched and undisturbed places. The fourth and final season of pop culture phenom and award-winning series Killing Eve will air in 2022.

Partner agencies involved in the campaign's development include strategy work by BigSmall and design by BigStar.
