EVERYTHING'S TRASH BUT IT'S OKAY (Freeform) - Jackée Harry and George Wallace have both signed onto the comedy pilot. Harry will star as Zora, "Phoebe and Jayden's mother. She and her husband are mid-Western transplants, but they have made a home in NY. They love and support their children equally, but truth be known, Zora acts (and dresses) younger than she is and straddles the line between "I'm my daughter's mother" and "I'm my daughter's best friend." And Wallace is Abraham, "Phoebe and Jayden's father and husband to Zora. He and his wife have been together since middle school and like Zora, he has treated Phoebe more like a friend than a daughter, which was fine before because she always brought laughter and joy to the family. However, now that Jayden is an elected official, Frederick worries that his daughter's ne'er do well ways is not a great look for the family." (Variety.com)
FIVE DAYS AT MEMORIAL (Apple TV+) - Emmy and Tony Award winner Cherry Jones is the latest addition to the limited series as Susan Mulderick, "a hospital nursing director and head of the emergency preparedness committee, who becomes the designated incident commander for Hurricane Katrina." Gilpin will play Mo Dean, "a former stewardess who meets John Dean (Dan Stevens) on a blind date and falls in love with him just as he becomes embroiled in Watergate. Sharp and quick-thinking, Mo learns her new husband is a principal figure in the scandal as they're both thrust onto a national stage." Whigham plays G. Gordon Liddy, "a former FBI agent and chief operative of Nixon's "Plumbers" unit who spearheads the Watergate espionage operation as part of Nixon's 1972 reelection campaign. A zealot and true believer, Liddy follows his own moral code, which drives him to protect the President at all costs." And Camp is Marty Mitchell, "Martha Mitchell's daughter, who spent much of her young life living in her mother's shadow. Accustomed to being dressed up and paraded around parties, Marty has to choose between her parents as their marriage falls apart." Julia Roberts and Sean Penn also star as Martha Mitchell and John Mitchell, respectively. (Deadline.com)
JOE EXOTIC (Peacock) - The much-ballyhooed scripted series, featuring Kate McKinnon as Carole Baskin and John Cameron Mitchell as Joe "Exotic" Schreibvogel, will stream exclusively on Peacock. (Deadline.com)
