EMMY(R)-WINNER GUY PEARCE RETURNS IN THIRD AND FINAL SEASON OF ACORN TV's HIT AUSTRALIAN NOIR THRILLER, "JACK IRISH," ON MONDAY, JULY 12
NEW TRAILER NOW AVAILABLE
"Terrific noir with a sense of humor about itself" - The New York Times
"Enormously engaging viewing" - The Washington Post
Emmy(R) Award-winner Guy Pearce (Mare of Easttown, Iron Man 3, Mildred Pierce) reprises his iconic role for the last time as Jack Irish, a former criminal lawyer, part-time debt collector and private investigator with a penchant for getting wrapped up in things he shouldn't. The final season of the award-winning Australian noir thriller, titled Jack Irish: Hell Bent (Season 3), premieres exclusively in the U.S. on Monday, July 12 on Acorn TV, AMC Networks' acclaimed streamer devoted to British and international television. New episodes will premiere weekly every Monday through August 2.
This explosive, four-episode season of Jack Irish delves deep into Jack's past, questioning everything he thought he knew about his life and bringing him face-to-face with an antagonist more personal and destructive than he has ever encountered. Jack's long-suppressed trauma of witnessing the brutal and random murder of wife Isabel by former client Wayne Milovich - which launched the first Jack Irish installment, Bad Debts (2012) - rears its ugly head when Jack discovers there was more to those fateful events all those years ago.
Joining Pearce are Jack's trusty cohorts from earlier seasons and the preceding telemovies: Marta Dusseldorp (A Place to Call Home, Janet King) as journalist and former girlfriend Linda Hillier, Roy Billing (The End) as horse racing aficionado Harry Strang, Aaron Pedersen (Mystery Road) as Harry's trusted off-sider Cam Delray, Kate Atkinson (Wentworth) as IT guru Simone and Shane Jacobson (Guardians of the Tomb) as old-school homicide detective Barry Tregear. This series is inspired by the acclaimed crime novels of the late Peter Temple.
Jack Irish has won various Australian awards and received multiple nominations from the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) and Logie Awards. Both Seasons 1 and 2, as well as the three preceding movies, are now streaming on Acorn TV.
