AND JUST LIKE THAT... (HBO Max) - Brenda Vaccaro and Ivan Hernandez are the latest bound for the "Sex and the City" revival. Vaccaro will portray Gloria Marquette, "Mr. Big's (Chris Noth) loyal, long-time secretary." And Hernandez "will work closely with Sara Ramirez's Che Diaz in the role of Franklyn, a sound engineer working with the podcaster on their show." (Deadline.com)
BLACK-ISH (ABC) - Co-executive producer Robb Chavis has signed an overall deal with CBS Studios where he'll develop new series projects on an exclusive basis. (Deadline.com)
IF YOU LIVED WITH ME YOU'D BE HOME BY NOW (HBO, New!) - Annabelle Gurwitch has sold a half-hour series to the pay channel in which "recently divorced and at the end of her financial and emotional rope, a woman takes in boarders who are also at the end of their financial and emotional rope, and everyone's life changes, for better and worse." The project is inspired by Gurwitch's Los Angeles Times article and corresponding chapter of her recently released book, "You're Leaving When? Adventures in Downward Mobility." Bill Maher, Naomi Despres and Robert Salerno are the executive producers for Artina Films with Gurwitch serving as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)
LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN, A (Amazon) - The original film's co-star Rosie O'Donnell will guest on the TV series as "a bartender in one of the scenes at a local gay bar." (Deadline.com)
NICE JEWISH GIRLS (Netflix, New!) - Anni Weisband is developing a "darkly comedic one-hour family crime drama" at the streamer about "four sisters in the aftermath of a death in the family. They know they would do anything for each other, but come to realize they don't know everything about each other." Jessica Rhoades of Pacesetter Productions and Dara Resnik will also executive produce. (Deadline.com)
OFFER, THE (Paramount+) - Filming on the limited series has been "temporarily halted" after "the return of a positive coronavirus test result during routine testing." (Deadline.com)
REAL HUSBANDS OF HOLLYWOOD (BET) - BET+ has greenlit a six-episode limited series revival of the series from HartBeat Productions and Jesse Collins Entertainment. Kevin Hart, Boris Kodjoe, Duane Martin, JB Smoove, Nelly, Nick Cannon, Robin Thicke, Cynthia McWilliams and Jackie Long will all reprise their roles on the project, which is currently in production in Los Angeles. Hart, Jesse Collins, Ralph Farquhar, Stan Lathan, Bryan Smiley, Mike Stein, Andy Horne, Dionne Harmon and Dave Becky are executive producing alongside showrunner Wayne Stamps and writer Chris Spencer while Chris Robinson, Ali Leroi and Leslie Small will direct. WATERWORLD (New!) - Universal Content Productions is in very early development on a TV series incarnation of the 1995 movie which "would pick up with the film's characters 20 years later." Dan Trachtenberg is attached to direct the project, which comes from John Davis and his Davis Entertainment. No writer was indicated. (Deadline.com)
WOKE (Hulu) - Production on the show has been suspended indefinitely after three more positive COVID-19 tests, two of which were in Zone A. Only two of the eight planned episodes have been fully shot. (Variety.com)
WONDER YEARS, THE (ABC) - Allen Maldonado will recur on the reboot series as Coach Long, "an affable guy who takes his job coaching a pre-teen baseball team very seriously. His son Tony is part of the team, Dean Williams (Elisha E.J. Williams) the center character of the story. Both Tony and Dean ask their Coach if they can scrimmage against an all-white team across town, Long is not interested - that is until Dean's mom Lillian (Saycon Sengbloh) convinces him that it's a good idea." X FACTOR UK, THE (AXS TV) - Original broadcaster ITV has canceled the series after 15 seasons and 445 episodes. AXS TV had been its U.S. home since season 11 (2014) through the spin-off "The X Factor: Celebrity," which aired as season 16. (THR.com)
