13 SONGS (FOX, New!) - Writers Will Reiser and Jonathan Prince are set to team with director Jonathan Levine for a potential drama at the network, which "follows rock legend Jasper Jones and his band, The Grift, who once made music that spoke to a generation of Americans, but not anymore. Decades later, after being diagnosed with terminal cancer, Jasper is given only a few months to live. As a final love letter to his fans, he reconnects with his band to write and record 13 final songs and leave his mark on the world forever." Fleetwood Mac co-founder Mick Fleetwood, Willie Mercer, Ron West, Gillian Bohrer and David Blackman are also on board to executive produce for Lionsgate Television, Polygram Entertainment, FOX Entertainment, Thruline Entertainment and Megamix. LIFE WILL BE THE DEATH OF ME (Peacock, New!) - Chelsea Handler's memoir is being developed as a comedy series at the streamer. Liz Tuccillo is spearheading the project, which "follows Handler in crisis. She goes into therapy to become a nicer and less entitled person. Mayhem and calamity ensue as she overcorrects, stumbles, regresses, and loses her marbles on her journey to self-improvement. The half-hour series comes with emotional underpinnings as Chelsea realizes she must deal with a tragedy from her childhood in order to truly move forward." Sue Naegle, Megan Ellison and Molly Burke will also executive produce for Universal Television, Annapurna Pictures and Chelsea Handler Productions with Jackie Sosa as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)
WHITE LOTUS, THE (HBO) - Murray Abraham, Adam DiMarco, Tom Hollander and Haley Lu Richardson are the latest bound for the series' second season. Abraham plays Bert Di Grasso, "an elderly man traveling with his son, Dominic Di Grasso (Michael Imperioli), and grandson, Albie Di Grasso (DiMarco), a recent college graduate." Hollander then is Quentin, "an English expat, vacationing with his friends and his nephew." And Richardson is Portia, "a young woman traveling with her boss who is believed to be Tanya McQuoid, played by Jennifer Coolidge, reprising her role from the original installment."
