ARCHIVE 81 (Netflix) - The streamer has nixed the horror drama after one season. (Deadline.com)
CHUCKY (Syfy/USA) - Jennifer Tilly has closed a deal to return for the series' second season as Tiffany Valentine. (Deadline.com)
EAST NEW YORK (CBS) - Kevin Rankin and Elizabeth Rodriguez are both bound for the drama pilot. Rankin will play Tommy Killian, "a charming and confident detective - but his thoughts on gender relations are in need of updating." And Rodriguez is Crystal Morales, "an intuitive detective who is not easily intimidated. She closely guards her private life, making her an object of endless speculation." (Deadline.com)
FELIX EVER AFTER (Amazon) - Juliany Taveras is spearheading the streamer's small screen take on Kacen Callender's young adult book, about "a Black, queer and transgender high school student and explores themes including falling in love and bullying." William Wissler Graham of Field Trip Productions will also executive produce. The news comes as Taveras has signed an overall television and first-look film deal with Amazon Studios. (THR.com)
GROWN-ISH (Freeform) - Original cast members Francia Raisa (Ana), Emily Arlook (Nomi), Chloe Bailey (Jazz), Luka Sabbat (Luca), Halle Bailey (Sky) and Jordan Buhat (Vivek) have all confirmed they won't be returning for the show's rebooted fifth season. (TVLine.com)
SON IN LAW, THE (ABC) - Reema Sampat will star opposite Chris Sullivan in the comedy pilot as Asha Mehta, "an optimistic, practical, unpretentious architect who happens to hail from a wealthy and prominent family. She's divorced from her first husband, who tried to take her into that exalted world - but she's much more comfortable with her current boyfriend Jake, a plumber with whom she shares a nice but modest house in Queens. When Jake proposes to her, she's happy to accept. Now, if only Asha's parents will accept Jake as her son-in-law." (Deadline.com)
