DEAR EDWARD (Apple TV+) - Brian d'Arcy James has booked a recurring role on the series as "the father of the title character, Edward." No other details were given. (Deadline.com)
GREY'S ANATOMY (ABC) - Kate Walsh's Addison Montgomery will return to the series on the May 5 episode. (TVLine.com)
LAST THING HE TOLD ME, THE (Apple TV+) - Angourie Rice has been cast in the streamer's Jennifer Garner-led adaptation of Laura Dave's best-selling novel of the same name. She'll play Bailey, "the stepdaughter of Garner's character Hannah." (Deadline.com)
LOPEZ VS. LOPEZ (NBC) - Selenis Leyva, Brice Gonzalez, and Matt Shively have all been cast in the George Lopez/Mayan Lopez-led multi-camera comedy pilot. Leyva will play Rosie, "a ball of energy who's barely overbearing, Rosie is Mayan's mother, George's ex-wife, and the self-proclaimed best insurance agent in town"; with Gonzalez as Chance, "Mayan and Quinten's (Shively) five year old son; his favorite hobbies are meditating and bulking up on green juice"; and Shively as Quinten, "a kind-hearted beta male, Quinten is Mayan's live-in boyfriend, Chance's father and the bane of George's existence." REASONABLE DOUBT (Hulu) - Victor Rasuk, Christopher Cassarino, Brooke Lyons and Eugene Byrd are slated to recur on the Onyx Collective series. Rasuk plays Mike Llanas, "an overzealous D.A., a man who lives and dies for his work; he and Jax went to law school together and have a history as rivals"; with Cassarino as Rich, "an attorney at the same firm where Jax works, dealing mostly with contracts and litigation; he clashes with Jax during a huge case during the season"; Lyons as Sarah, "the wife of multi-millionaire Braydon Mitchell. Sarah is well-educated and gave up everything to support her husband"; and Byrd as CJ, "Damon's brother, who feels betrayed when Damon questions him about conducting other business at the auto-shop while Damon was in jail." SHRINKING (Apple TV+) - Jessica Williams is set to star opposite Jason Segel and Harrison Ford in the comedy series as Gaby, "a therapist working in the practice with Dr. Phil Rhodes (Ford) and Jimmy (Segel). She's all in on anything she's passionate about, including her friend Jimmy, who she cares for and respects." (Deadline.com)
SOBER COMPANION (CBS) - Krysta Rodriguez and Lauren Lapkus have been tapped to star in the multi-camera comedy pilot, about Eliza (Rodriguez), "a hot-mess alcoholic, owns a bar with her uncle in New Orleans, is forced to get her life together when the court appoints her an exhaustingly upbeat sober companion, Shelley (Lapkus), with whom she has to live 24/7." Rodriguez's Eliza is further detailed as "a fun-loving, quick-witted alcoholic who runs a bookstore/bar with her uncle in New Orleans. After one too many run-ins with the law, she is assigned a court-appointed Sober Companion, Shelley (Lapkus), who will force her to confront her demons, get her act together, and stay sober... all while driving her completely nuts." And Lapkus's Shelley is "a joyful, high-spirited oddball. Her methods are a bit unconventional, and her relentless enthusiasm isn't everybody's cup of tea, but she's the best at what she does."
