June 2022 premieres kick off on Sunday, June 5 with back-to-back stories about the legendary rock band Van Halen and the everlasting legacy of its namesake Eddie Van Halen. Autopsy: The Last Hours of... "Eddie Van Halen" at 8pm ET/ 5pm PT is an intimate portrait of the guitar prodigy hailed as one of the greatest of all time. With his scorching guitar skills and unique style he rewrote the rulebook for riffs and with his signature electrifying showmanship he was the driving force behind Van Halen. Away from the spotlight Eddie was at war with himself for decades battling substance abuse. By embracing all of the excess that came with his hard won success did Eddie set into motion what would ultimately take his life? The success of the band Van Halen was stratospheric with more than 80 million records sold and more than $324 million in ticket sales on their way to change the face of rock music over a career spanning four decades. In Van Halen: Story of Their Songs on Sunday, June 5 at 9pm ET/ 6pm PT see the stories of six pivotal songs that were key turning points in the bands' long and eventful career from break out hit "Runnin' with the Devil" and changing musical direction with "Jump" to reinventing their sound in "Why Can't This Be Love?" and mainstream smashes "When It's Love" and "Can't Stop Loving You" along with the experimental and touching "Without You".

In the 1997 movie Boogie Nights Alfred Molina plays a looney nightclub owner with a bad cocaine habit in a character that was loosely based on Hollywood hotshot Eddie Nash. For decades Nash eluded authorities as the cocaine addicted king of nightclubs in Hollywood who ran drugs through his many properties in the 1970s and 1980s. Nash also had a terrifyingly violent side. In Gangsters: America's Most Evil "Eddie Nash 'King of Wonderland'" on Tuesday, June 7 at 9pm ET/ 6pm PT presents the story of the man who was atop the Hollywood drug scene and the brutality he used to enforce his reign. The hedonistic and lawless club scenes of the late 1980s along the Sunset Strip were a part of Nash's legacy and served as the perfect backdrop for the debut of the uncompromising and controversial Guns N' Roses with their forceful hit "Welcome to the Jungle" with lyrics and music video depicting the rougher side of life in LA. In Guns N' Roses: Story of Their Songs on Sunday, June 12 at 8pm ET/ 5pm PT see the stories behind six of their songs that transformed rock music including "Welcome to the Jungle", the anthemic "Paradise City", epic tender ballads "Don't Cry" and "Patience", the nine-minute masterpiece "November Rain" and the song that made them global superstars in "Sweet Child O' Mine."

The hit television series Miami Vice made its debut in the fall of 1984 as a stylish crime drama that combined the lush music and scenery of Miami with the dark and deadly reality of its crime. In 1981 there were 621 murders in Miami and hitman Jorge Rivi Ayala and other infamous "cocaine cowboys" contributed to that grim total. In Gangsters: America's Most Evil "Jorge 'Rivi' Ayala" on Tuesday, June 14 at 9pm ET/ 6pm PT see the story of the vicious cartel hitman who became the top assassin for the brutal Colombian drug lord Griselda Blanco as she infiltrated the Miami drug scene. Sunday, June 19 sees a primetime lineup of three back-to-back rock and roll stories about the rise and fall of Foreigner and Scorpions along with the stories of three songs that defined Alice Cooper. By 1978 Foreigner was the quickly becoming the biggest rock band in the world. They were jukebox heroes providing a hard rocking soundtrack to their generation and their 1983 chart topping hit "I Want to Know What Love Is" rockets the band to superstardom but was a new style for them. The battle lines are drawn over the musical direction of the band and the creative clashes between founder Mick Jones and vocalist Lou Gramm become massive divides. In Foreigner: Breaking the Band on Sunday, June 19 at 8pm ET/ 5pm PT Gramm gives his first-hand account of the whopping success of their debut album and the uneasy truces with Jones to keep the music playing. While creative differences weren't a crux for the Scorpions their Achilles heel was a high-octane lifestyle that matched their blistering sound. In Scorpions: Breaking the Band on Sunday, June 19 at 9pm ET/ 6pm PT four original members Rudolf Schenker, Herman Rarebell, Matthias Jabs and Klaus Meine give an unfiltered look at the band's five decade history that led to more than 100 million albums sold worldwide from the rush of breaking big in America to facing down the perilous unknown of lead singer Meine losing his voice and requiring high-risk surgery. The final performer of the Sunday, June 19 trifecta of rock music stories is Alice Cooper: Story of The Songs at 10pm ET/ 7pm PT spotlighting the stories behind the iconic and rebellious 1972 hit "School's Out", the groundbreaking change of direction Cooper channeled for the "Welcome to My Nightmare" single and album and the career redefining megahit love song with a twist in "Poison". With one of the most enduring and talked about careers in rock history Cooper shocked fans with his revolutionary and controversial stage shows but what was the inspiration behind three of the songs that cemented his legacy?

In 1992 Edward James Olmos starred as a Mexican American Mafia kingpin in the movie American Me a fictional account of the Mexican Mafia inside the California prison system. That same year 15-year-old Oscar Cabrera was just another kid growing up in tough rural farming town of Watsonville California. As a smart, charismatic natural born leader Cabrera sought more from life than working fields and within a few years in his early twenties he'd become the local shot caller for Nuestra Familia, the real-life violent criminal organization that grew from within the California prison system. Gangsters: America's Most Evil "'Baby Joker' Oscar Cabrera" on Tuesday, June 21 at 9pm ET/ 6pm PT presents Cabrera's story within the history of Nuestra Familia and the shocking and violent end to his ties with the organization. Where his ambition and charisma led Cabrera to a life of crime those same traits led Vince Neil to redefine what it meant to be a rockstar. In Mötley Crüe's Vince Neil: My Story* (*working title) on Sunday, June 26 at 8pm ET/ 5pm PT the Mötley Crüe frontman gives a revealing account of his journey to global stardom with never before told stories including his 45-year friendship with drummer Tommy Lee, overcoming addictions, going solo and his roller coaster ride with Mötley Crüe that led to more than 100 million albums sold. When Neil was fired from Mötley Crüe in 1992 it was rumored that Skid Row lead singer Sebastian Bach was asked to replace him but that never happened. Still, Bach had long fit the wild prototype of a rock star. An 18-year-old Bach was a formidable young talent plagued by a combination of attitude, swagger and a short fuse. After being scouted singing at a wedding Bach was made lead singer of hard rock band Skid Row. In Skid Row: Breaking the Band on Sunday, June 26 at 10pm ET/ 7pm PT original members and co-founders Rachel Bolan and Dave 'Snake' Sabo along with Bach and manager Doc McGhee give a first-hand account of how Skid Row burst onto the scene in the late 1980s setting the charts ablaze and bringing MTV metal to the masses. They also give their own take on the volatile and unpredictable Bach who in his own words recounts the wildest moments in the band's turbulent ride and what became the final straw that broke the back of Skid Row.

Autopsy: The Last Hours of... "Eddie Van Halen" premieres on Sunday, June 5 at 8pm ET/ 5pm PT. On October 6, 2020 the world was shocked by the news that guitar legend Eddie Van Halen had died. A rock prodigy with a boyish charm he was never more comfortable than when he had a guitar in his hand. Known as the founder of Van Halen, the band that became synonymous with California cool, Eddie was actually of both Dutch and Indonesian heritage. His family moved to California from the Netherlands when Eddie was a child. Eddie came to America without knowing English but by the time he was 25 years old his band had sold multiple platinum albums and his innovative guitar techniques cemented him in rock and roll history. But behind his contagious smile there was a darker undercurrent that would plague Eddie throughout his life. As an extremely shy kid Eddie started drinking alcohol at just 12 years old to calm his nerves after seeing his father drink to calm himself and for the next four decades Eddie wrestled with addiction issues. Often relying on alcohol and other substances to maintain his creativity Eddie would spend many years in and out of rehab. He was a workaholic often pushing his body to the limits in order to perform while secretly battling illness. Eddie died at the age of 65 from cancer but if caught early Eddie's disease had reasonable survival rates so what exactly happened? Now renowned forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Hunter will analyze every detail of his life in order to piece together what else may have been going on in his body, ultimately leading to his untimely death. Autopsy: The Last Hours of... is produced by Potato, part of ITV Studios.

Van Halen: Story of Their Songs premieres on Sunday, June 5 at 9pm ET/ 6pm PT. They were the band that changed the face of heavy rock and created a formula for a four decade run as a legendary band. From their early days playing parties in Pasadena to becoming the biggest rock act in America Story of Songs explores six key songs that helped make them rock music titans. After announcing their arrival onto the music scene with the bold and timeless "Runnin' with the Devil" they hit a commercial peak with synth heavy chart topper "Jump" before reinventing themselves not once but twice as singer David Lee Roth was replaced by Sammy Hagar who then made way for Gary Cherone. Despite the lineup changes they still produced hit music including "Why Can't This Be Love?" and mainstream smashes "When It's Love" and "Can't Stop Loving You" along with the experimental "Without You". Elliot Gilbert who created the cover art for the band's debut album recalls the photo session that left him deaf for a week. "Jump" music video producer Robert Lombard reveals the dilemma that eventually got him fired and Dweezil Zappa, son of music legend Frank Zappa, remembers the time when Eddie revealed some of his guitar playing secrets. Nuno Bettencourt quizzes his band mate Gary Cherone about the former Extreme singer's stint as Van Halen's front man while cinematographer Daniel Court explains the real reason for the band's famed "no brown M & Ms" rider request. Story of Their Songs is produced by ViacomCBS International Studios UK.

Gangsters: America's Most Evil "Eddie Nash 'King of Wonderland'" premieres on Tuesday, June 7 at 9pm ET/ 6pm PT. In 1970s and 1980s Hollywood Eddie Nash was a nightclub impresario with properties across Southern California using the profits from drug trafficking to build a massive fortune. Nash owned dozens of restaurants and clubs which became the locations where he moved large quantities of marijuana, cocaine and heroin. Nash wasn't just the supplier he was also a drug addict whose lust for high stakes action led him to extreme violence to ensure his empire wouldn't fall. Nash built relationships with Hollywood and mafia types to fill his nightclubs with the glitz, glam and street muscle of the era. But his reckless drug addictions made him vulnerable and it wasn't long before others took notice. After being robbed of nearly a million dollars worth of jewelry, cash and drugs Nash took it personally and sent a message to the streets. The Wonderland Murders in 1981 were allegedly masterminded by Nash and carried out on the people who allegedly robbed him. Helping to tell the story of Nash is Josh Meyer, USA Today Domestic Security Correspondent and Paul Corradini, Department of Justice Special Attorney in Organized Crime.

Guns N' Roses: Story of Their Songs premieres on Sunday, June 12 at 8pm ET/ 5pm PT. With more than 80 million albums sold worldwide and more than $700 million in concert ticket sales Guns N' Roses lit up the world of rock music with an unflinching run of hit songs enroute to becoming one of the most popular bands in rock history. These are the inside stories of six hits that sent them soaring from their breakthrough single "Welcome To The Jungle" with its controversial music video that initially proved too edgy for MTV to the global smash "Sweet Child O' Mine" that gave them their first and only Billboard number one. Those close to the band including publicist Arlett Vereecke and friend and photographer Marc Canter share their memories of the Guns N' Roses journey from obscurity on the Sunset Strip to becoming the hottest rock band on the planet in the late 1980s. Founding Guns N' Roses band member Tracii Guns reveals how the band got its name and the story behind why he left the group after only a few weeks. Members of the band's production team including mixers Steve Thompson and Michael Barbiero recall recording the iconic tracks while music video director Nigel Dick reveals what went on behind the scenes during the filming some of their most famous videos including wild shoot for "Paradise City" to the intimate "Patience". Along their journey Guns N' Roses survived fallouts, concert riots and drug addictions to release some of their greatest songs in the early 1990s including "Don't Cry" and the epic nine-minute ballad "November Rain". Story of Their Songs is produced by ViacomCBS International Studios UK.

Gangsters: America's Most Evil "Jorge 'Rivi' Ayala" premieres on Tuesday, June 14 at 9pm ET/ 6pm PT. The party scenes of the 1970s and 1980s are fondly remembered for big hair, wild fashion and epic music. Another popular staple of the time that kept the parties rolling was cocaine. With its sunny beaches by day and disco dancing at night Miami quickly became the epicenter of the fun and glamour associated with the addictive powder. Lurking beneath the party scene was a violent drug war to keep the cocaine circulating. In 1979 Miami received a disturbing wake up call to this sensational violence when the Dadeland Mall shooting rocked residents after organized crime members carried out a hit in broad daylight in one of the boldest acts of violence during Florida's war on drugs. Jorge 'Rivi' Ayala and an accomplice carried out the Dadeland Mall shooting as a hit on rival drug dealers and became sinister lore for the "cocaine cowboy" brand of drug warfare. Ayala was carrying out orders from none other than the Godmother of the Medellín Cartel Griselda Blanco as he'd become her top assassin. Ayala spent a life in crime going from stealing cars as a teenager to carrying out killings for half a million dollars each as a high-ranking hitman. With two loving and hard working parents focused on raising Ayala when and where did his promising path turn to crime and how did he end up as one of the most notorious hitmen of all time?

Foreigner: Breaking the Band premieres on Tuesday, June 19 at 8pm ET/ 5pm PT. Formed in New York in 1976 by musical powerhouse Mick Jones Foreigner would become one of the most successful groups of all time as Lou Gramm's incredible vocals and unique talents helped the band to sell more than 80 million albums. By the mid-1980s their blend of hard rock and atmospheric ballads were a stadium filling success all over the world but behind the scenes their move towards synth-led soft rock most famously the chart topping global hit "I Want to Know What Love Is" had started to create fault lines between musical architect Jones and frontman Gramm. As resentment grew the once tight knit songwriting partnership started to fall apart and when Gramm embarked on a successful solo career. In May 1990 Gramm leaves acrimoniously fracturing the musical heart of the band. It seemed like they would never get back together but music is a powerful force. Helping to tell the Foreigner story is former bassist Rick Wills and current lead singer Kelly Hansen while Gramm in his own words discusses the perfectionist pressure of Jones, the impact of band lineup changes and the series of uneasy truces between him and Jones throughout the years. Breaking the Band is produced by Potato, part of ITV Studios.

Scorpions: Breaking the Band premieres on Tuesday, June 19 at 9pm ET/ 6pm PT. With more than 100 million albums sold worldwide across an incredible 50 year career German heavy metal giants Scorpions are one of the most successful international rock bands of all time. Now four of the original members including lead singer Klaus Meine, lead guitar Matthias Jabs, drummer Herman Rarebell and founder and guitarist Rudolf Schenker tell the story of their meteoric rise from post-war Germany to headlining Madison Square Garden and living out their American dream. After establishing themselves as one of the iconic heavy metal acts of the 1980s the band's attention turned to geopolitics and Scorpions debuted their massively successful single "Winds of Change" hit just as the Cold War was coming to an end. But as is so often the case when a rock band realizes its ambitions trouble is never far away. As Scorpions members tell it their American dream turned into a heavy metal nightmare with outrageous excess, the weight of expectation for more album sales, disputes over money and power-struggles within the band taking their toll after decades of chart topping and arena filling success. Breaking the Band is produced by Potato, part of ITV Studios.

Alice Cooper: Story of The Songs premieres on Sunday, June 19 at 10pm ET/ 7pm PT. Alice Cooper has his own wild chapter in the story of rock music as one of the greatest showmen to ever perform. The band of the same name was led by his signature brand of theatricality which shocked and delighted audiences. In exploring three huge Alice Cooper hits see what was behind the singular style of the godfather of shock rock from the revolutionary and controversial stage shows to the iconic and rebellious 1972 smash hit "School's Out". With his first-hand account of sharing the stage with Cooper guitarist Steve Hunter discusses the exhilaration of opening night for the infamous "Welcome to My Nightmare" album tour while former Alice Cooper bass player Prakash John recalls the unique and horror-fueled performances that broke creative boundaries. Guitarist Dweezil Zappa shares stories of how his legendary producer and musician father Frank Zappa signed the Alice Cooper band while the GTO's Pamela De Barres shares her stories of helping the fledgling Vincent Fournier become Alice Cooper from his style to his sound. Award winning video director Nigel Dick and actress Rana Kennedy give insight into shooting Alice Cooper's iconic "Poison" video and how his late 1980s comeback cemented his legacy as an all time great. Story of The Songs is produced by ViacomCBS International Studios UK.

Gangsters: America's Most Evil "'Baby Joker' Oscar Cabrera" premieres on Tuesday, June 21 at 9pm ET/ 6pm PT. Growing up Cabrera committed armed robbery before he was 18 years old and was later convicted for another armed robbery and assault. His wayward path eventually led him to become a top enforcer and drug trafficker for Nuestra Familia, a vicious and dangerous gang that was originally formed as a self-protection group for Latinos housed within the California prison system. But as Nuestra Familia grew so did the criminal ambitions of its members. Even when Nuestra Familia leaders were incarcerated they still called the shots from behind prison walls. Any rule breakers of Nuestra Familia were subject to swift gangland justice, intimidation and deadly violence. Nuestra Familia even has governing documents to run the organization like a corporation complete with a constitution. Violence and bigger crimes equal promotion within Nuestra Familia. With his penchant for violence Cabrera rose to the top of the Nuestra Familia. But because of the rules governing member behavior Cabrera couldn't let it slide when a friend directed a small slight at lower ranking Nuestra Familia members. Cabrera snapped and murdered him in cold blood triggering a special investigation by authorities to hunt him down. Contributing to the story of Cabrera and Nuestra Familia are Henry Montes, Santa Cruz District Attorney's Office, Morgan Chappell, Investigator at Santa Cruz District Attorney's Office and Mike Walker, Gang Investigator in the California Department of Justice.

Mötley Crüe's Vince Neil: My Story* premieres on Sunday, June 26 at 8pm ET/ 5pm PT. Vince Neil, the lead singer of legendary heavy metal band Mötley Crüe gives viewers exclusive insight into his wild ride to fame and its many bumps in the road. In candid and fresh interviews with never before heard stories Neil details what led him to music, the formation and early days of Mötley Crüe, surviving the hardest of party days and how he navigated the road to super stardom. Neil also gets candid about his much publicized setbacks from the heartbreak of losing a child to being arrested for driving under the influence and causing a crash that killed a friend. Sharing their stories of Neil are those closest to him including his son and daughter, bandmates Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee and others who have been a part of his story through today. Now 41 years after first forming Mötley Crüe is preparing to launch a 36 city tour in June 2022 and Mötley Crüe's Vince Neil: My Story* shows the incredible journey of the band and its frontman like it's never been seen before. Mötley Crüe's Vince Neil: My Story* is produced by Scott Sternberg Productions. (*working title)

Skid Row: Breaking the Band premieres on Sunday, June 26 at 10pm ET/ 7pm PT. Skid Row burst onto the rock and roll scene in 1989 with a leg up from band co-founder Dave 'Snake' Sabo who was childhood friends with Jon Bon Jovi. The pact Sabo and Jon Bon Jovi made ensured that whoever made it big first would bring the other along which led to Skid Row getting a major early boost opening for Bon Jovi. United in their sheer ambition and drive Skid Row stormed the stage and set the charts ablaze selling more than five million copies of the debut self-titled album. Marketed as 'the new bad boys of rock' their unpredictable frontman Sebastian Bach did his best to live up to the label. But as tales of controversy stalked them Bach's behavior began to jeopardize everything the band had worked towards. The charismatic, sex-symbol frontman of the band became a double-edged sword pushing their popularity up but also pushing them closer to the brink of break-up with every Bach outburst worse than the last. As Skid Row became more popular power struggles and clashing egos destroyed the brotherly bond that had propelled them to fame. And a band already self-combusting had no choice but to pull the plug on their nine year rock and roll ride. Giving an unfiltered, first-hand look at Skid Row are original members and co-founders Rachel Bolan and Sabo along with former frontman Sebastian Bach and manager Doc McGhee. Breaking the Band is produced by Potato, part of ITV Studios.
