Story of Their Songs specials return for six new stories about the career defining, controversial and wildly successful hits from Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Mötley Crüe, Poison, KISS and Judas Priest. Every week in July includes eight back-to-back episodes of the original hit documentary real life series COPS making their REELZ premieres showcasing the adrenaline filled unscripted action from the front lines of law enforcement across America.

"We're excited to bring our viewers the highly anticipated live TV event On Patrol: Live in July and anyone eager to see the live action can check their listings to ensure they have REELZ and if they discover their provider doesn't currently offer REELZ they can ask them to carry the network," said Steve Cheskin, SVP of Programming at REELZ. "We're also honored and excited Wynonna Judd is inviting viewers into her life through powerful stories about her most cherished and challenging moments. Wynonna is an American icon and country music superstar who like the subjects of our new Story of Their Songs specials are still growing their legends selling out stadiums decades after their first hits."

July 2022 premieres begin Sunday, July 10 with Def Leppard: Story of Their Songs at 8pm ET/ 5pm PT chronicling the six songs that powered the meteoric rise of the Sheffield England rockers from breaking into American charts with "Photograph" to embracing the music video with "Rock of Ages" and battling back from disaster with "Animal" after drummer Rick Allen lost an arm in a car accident. Def Leppard's quest to top the U.S. charts finally happens in 1988 with the emotive power ballad "Love Bites" and their barnstorming rock anthem "Let's Get Rocked" along with the seismic and immortal song "Pour Some Sugar on Me". While the UK heavy metal influx in America was in full swing late 1980s many bands including Def Leppard had to go head to head on U.S. charts with five rockers from New Jersey. With more than 130 million album sales and 15 studio albums over a career spanning five decades Bon Jovi and its namesake lead singer Jon Bon Jovi are certified global superstars. But what was the inspiration behind the three songs that defined the band's biggest moments? Bon Jovi: Story of The Songs on Sunday, July 10 at 10pm ET/ 7pm PT explores the making of their 1987 smash hit number one single "Livin' on a Prayer" that spent 22 weeks on U.S. charts to the game changing 1994 crossover power ballad "Always" and the track that rejuvenated the band in "It's My Life" and introduced Bon Jovi to a whole new generation of fans.

With an incendiary cocktail of dark visuals and blistering sound Mötley Crüe epitomizes rock and roll excess. For more than four decades Mötley Crüe has lived life on the edge selling more than 100 million albums and are still selling out stadiums with the recent start of their latest North American tour. Now Mötley Crüe: Story of Their Songs on Sunday, July 17 at 8pm ET/ 5pm PT reveals the inspiration behind the hits that propelled them to rock immortality. From their debut hit "Live Wire", ramping up the controversy with "Looks That Kill" and surprising everyone with an epic and poignant ballad "Home Sweet Home" to the anthemic "Dr. Feelgood", the unapologetic "Girls, Girls, Girls" and the electrifying hit "Kickstart My Heart" inspired by the brush with death experience of co-founder, bassist and songwriter Nikki Sixx. With Mötley Crüe serving up full throttle performances they set a high mark for potent showmanship but not to be outdone four musicians from Mechanicville PA would leave their own glam metal mark on rock and roll. Poison has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide and are still rocking audiences as part of 2022 The Stadium Tour with Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. Poison: Story of Their Songs on Sunday, July 17 at 10pm ET/ 7pm PT uncovers the inspiration behind the songs that took Poison from humble beginnings living in abandoned buildings to the top of the charts from their first and risqué hit "Talk Dirty to Me" to the signature ballad that was almost never released in "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" to the track that left fans puzzled over the exact meaning behind "Unskinny Bop".

On Friday, July 22 at 9pm ET/PT new series On Patrol: Live premieres with host and executive producer Dan Abrams, Sgt. Sean "Sticks" Larkin and Deputy Sheriff Curtis Wilson live on set every Friday and Saturday night from 9pm ET - 12am ET/PT as they provide minute-by-minute live analysis as the series documents for viewers in real time the everyday work of police officers on patrol from diverse departments across America. On Patrol: Live will also engage the community by inviting them into the series. "Citizen Ride-Alongs" will give local residents, within the communities of the departments appearing on the show, a first-hand perspective as they ride along with officers followed by On Patrol: Live cameras on live nights; "Citizens On-Set" invites community members into the studio as guests where they can share their Ride-Along experiences and observations and comment on the night's live activities. Both features offer a unique opportunity for viewers and members of the community to gain unprecedented access to law enforcement - from routine calls and high-stakes incidents to tracking down fugitives of justice and recovering missing children.

As one of the most influential rock bands of all time KISS changed the game for live performances. The band pushed creative boundaries in spectacular shows in their famous regalia of towering platform shoes, black leather, bare chests and signature face paint creating generations of diehard fans. But the shock and awe of a live KISS show wasn't translating to strong record sales until the breakthrough hit "Rock and Roll All Nite" recorded with a live audience sent the band soaring to success. KISS: Story of The Songs on Sunday, July 24 at 9pm ET/ 6pm PT also explores their dramatic change in direction with the disco inspired "I Was Made for Loving You" that shook up the KISS fanbase known as the KISS Army before doing it again with their radical reinvention for the 1983 hit "Lick It Up" that saw the band famous for its anonymity and wild looks ditch the makeup and costumes to forge an entirely new identity. As KISS was shocking fans with live performances in the mid-1970s an ocean away UK band Judas Priest was finding its footing en route to pioneering heavy metal with their blueprint of piercing high vocals, dual lead guitars and a sound that was meant for full volume. In Judas Priest: Story of Their Songs on Sunday, July 24 at 10pm ET/ 7pm PT exclusive fresh interviews with lead vocalist Rob Halford and bassist Ian Hill reveal the inspiration behind the songs that made Judas Priest so influential from the pulsating "Breaking the Law" to U.S. breakthrough "You've Got Another Thing Coming" before boldly pushing boundaries with "Turbo Lover". Halford and Hill discuss the long held secrets of the band and how they survived adversity to continue their rock legacy.

Closing out July 2022 premieres with a poignant real life story is Wynonna Judd: Love is Alive on Sunday, July 31 at 9pm ET/ 6pm PT featuring the Country Music Hall of Fame artist in her own words discussing the soaring highs and crushing lows of life at the pinnacle of country music. Wynonna gives an intimate account of the whirlwind rise to fame and success as country music's only mother daughter duo alongside her mother Naomi as the pair charted 14 number one hits and sold more than 20 million records over a three decade career together. Wynonna also shares deeply personal stories about her trials in love, the daunting jump into a solo career and the many setbacks that tested her fortitude and faith along the way.

COPS - Starting Friday, July 1 at 7pm ET/ 4pm PT every week in July features eight back-to-back episodes of the original COPS making their REELZ premieres. The original reality ride-along series and pioneer of the unscripted television explosion takes viewers coast to coast and to the front lines with the men and women of American law enforcement where the action is visceral, unpredictable and as real as it gets. COPS is produced by Langley Productions.

Def Leppard: Story of Their Songs premieres on Sunday, July 10 at 8pm ET/ 5pm PT. With two diamond albums and more than 100 million records sold Def Leppard is one of the most beloved bands ever. Now Story of Their Songs spotlights the epic tracks that helped take Def Leppard from teenaged hopefuls from Sheffield England to the top of the rock music world. From the soaring single "Photograph" and embracing the music video for "Rock of Ages" to comeback hit "Animal", their fun super anthems "Let's Get Rocked" and "Pour Some Sugar on Me" to topping U.S. charts in 1988 with the ballad "Love Bites" the legacy of Def Leppard is not without its heartbreaking lows. Those within the Def Leppard camp recall how the band bounced back from the massive dual blows of drummer Rick Allen losing an arm in a car accident and the tragic death of guitarist Steve Clark. Recording engineer Craig Thomson remembers the taxing sessions in the studio where perfectionist producer 'Mutt' Lange pushed the band to breaking point with his recording style. As director of the "Photograph" and "Rock of Ages" music videos David Mallet reveals the strong group-first mentality and attitude behind the band's success while the "Animal" music video director Jean Pellerin tells the story of lead singer Joe Elliott and his ordeal at the hands of a circus knife thrower. Story of Their Songs is produced by Viacom International Studios UK.

Bon Jovi: Story of The Songs premieres on Sunday, July 10 at 10pm ET/ 7pm PT. With a towering career spanning five decades with 15 studio albums and more than 130 million album sales Bon Jovi set the bar for mega rock bands. Now the stories of three songs that turned the New Jersey hopefuls into rock legends come to life including their 1987 hit "Livin' on a Prayer" which sold three million copies alone and was result of working with famed songwriter Desmond Child for their second consecutive number one hit in a row after "You Give Love a Bad Name". The other half of the band's main songwriting duo included its namesake Jon Bon Jovi and lead guitarist Richie Sambora who'd been with Bon Jovi since the very beginning. But after two consecutive number one albums and nearly a decade of touring the world fans thought it was a story coming to an end when rumors began to spread about a band breakup. Relief came in the form of 1992 album "Keep the Faith" with its stylistic changeup power ballad "Always". Bon Jovi survived fallouts and lineup changes only to reinvent itself with the wildly popular "It's My Life" that rejuvenated the band and tied together elements of "Livin' on a Prayer" that would introduce a whole new generation of fans to Bon Jovi. Sharing his story as record label executive Derek Shulman recalls how he came to sign the band and his first conversations with Jon Bon Jovi. Producers Bob Rock and Luke Ebbin reminisce about working with Bon Jovi in the studio and renowned music video director Wayne Isham along with producer Curt Marvis share their insights on the making of some of the band's most iconic music videos. Story of Their Songs is produced by Viacom International Studios UK.

Mötley Crüe: Story of Their Songs premieres on Sunday, July 17 at 8pm ET/ 5pm PT. These are the stories of the six unforgettable songs that took Mötley Crüe from hopefuls playing gigs on the Sunset Strip to giants of heavy metal who are still selling out stadiums more than four decades after first releasing their debut hit "Live Wire". The band was inspired by their love of Alice Cooper and 1970s British glam rock to create early classics like "Live Wire" and the darker "Looks That Kill" with a music video that sent shockwaves through America. Their growing success was nearly stopped entirely after lead singer Vince Neil caused a tragic fatal car accident while driving under the influence. The band known for celebrating debauchery and decadence had to shift gears leading them to power ballad territory with their version of "Smokin' in the Boys Room" and a complete change in sound with "Home Sweet Home." The band flexed its staying power at the top of the charts with its fourth album "Girls, Girls, Girls" and the signature single of the same name that reminded fans Mötley Crüe is still the band of wild excess. Putting an emphatic stamp on their legendary status their fifth album "Dr. Feelgood" told stories of the band's battle with drug addictions and the brush with death co-founder, bassist and primary songwriter Nikki Sixx experienced that inspired their iconic "Kickstart My Heart" anthem. Sharing their Mötley Crüe stories are producer Tom Werman who recalls eating sushi with Sixx the night after the bass player had famously briefly died after a drug overdose while producer Bob Rock marvels at being in studio when a newly sober Mötley Crüe turned up to make the landmark "Dr. Feelgood" album. Story of Their Songs is produced by Viacom International Studios UK.

Poison: Story of Their Songs premieres on Sunday, July 17 at 10pm ET/ 7pm PT. As one of the most beloved glam metal bands ever Poison had humble beginnings with its four original members sleeping in an abandoned dry cleaning building when they first arrived in LA from Mechanicsville PA. With the band still touring in 2022 they'll be celebrating nearly 40 years of glam metal mastery. Story of Their Songs explores the inspiration behind three Poison hits that took them from supporting act to being the main event including their first Billboard hit with "Talk Dirty to Me" off their debut album "Look What the Cat Dragged In" as producer Jim Faraci recalls how the band literally showed up to his front door unannounced. "Talk Dirty to Me" music video director Jean Pellerin reveals how he captured the band's sense of fun showmanship and feelgood energy helping it become an MTV favorite. Inspired by a breakup experienced by lead singer Bret Michaels the poignant 1988 ballad "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" was met with serious resistance from the record company with executives saying it was "too country". After its release the song would become their biggest ever hit peaking at number one on the Billboard chart. More hits followed including the pop rock smash "Unskinny Bop" and road crew manager Riki Valentine reveals the true meaning behind that funny song title. Despite their huge success it wasn't all smooth sailing for Poison. Those close to the band including producer Faraci and video director Shane Stanley share memories of the fallouts and excess that went on behind the scenes culminating in Bret Michaels and guitarist C.C. DeVille coming to blows backstage at the 1991 MTV Music Video Awards. Story of Their Songs is produced by Viacom International Studios UK.

On Patrol: Live premieres on Friday, July 22 at 9pm ET/PT. Host and executive producer Dan Abrams reunites with former Tulsa Police Department Sgt. Sean "Sticks" Larkin alongside Deputy Sheriff Curtis Wilson. Together, they provide minute-by-minute live analysis as the series documents for viewers in real time the everyday work of police officers on patrol from diverse departments across America.

Hosting and executive producing On Patrol: Live is Dan Abrams, CEO and Founder of Abrams Media, host of Dan Abrams Live on NewsNation, Chief Legal Analyst for ABC News and former host of Live PD. Joining Abrams is Sgt. Sean "Sticks" Larkin, retired Tulsa Police Department lieutenant with nearly 25 years of service and Deputy Sheriff Curtis Wilson, Division Commander with the Richland County Sheriff's Department in Columbia SC. Live on set every Friday and Saturday night from 9pm ET - 12am ET/PT the trio provide viewers minute-by-minute live analysis and context, offering unique insight into the experiences of the men and women of law enforcement appearing on the show. The live show content is complemented by public-service segments dedicated to finding missing children and tracking down America's worst and most wanted criminals. It all adds up to the most dynamic and compelling show on live TV where the promise of "anything can happen" and "I've never seen that before" is always delivered to the viewer. For updates on the series or to join the conversation follow #OnPatrolLive and #PDNation on social media. On Patrol: Live is produced by Half Moon Pictures for REELZ.

KISS: Story of Their Songs premieres on Sunday, July 24 at 9pm ET/ 6pm PT. Fire breathing guitars, instruments being smashed on stage and a blood-spitting persona known as The Demon made KISS concerts legendary. But despite the buzz KISS record sales didn't reflect attendance figures. Backed into a corner KISS bet big on themselves recording a live album to capture their concert hype. The standout track "Rock and Roll All Nite" with its blistering opening vocals from Simmons and the anthemic chorus lit the match for their success. The late 1970s saw disco sweeping the globe and a lot of rock music fans shunning it but some bands embraced it including KISS and co-founder Paul Stanley leading to the disco inspired 1979 hit "I Was Made for Lovin' You". Drummer Anton Fig shares his stories of playing drums for "I Was Made for Lovin' You" and creating some of the song's unique sounds. Despite years of record success and a lucrative merchandising operation by the early 1980s the KISS brand of rock was aging against fresh acts including Mötley Crüe and Bon Jovi. Then the unthinkable happens when lead guitarist Ace Frehley quits KISS sending the band into freefall. With popularity plummeting Simmons and Stanley gambled big again with a complete image overhaul along with a musical reboot. In forging a new identity KISS shed the wild leather outfits, stage personas and makeup releasing the 1983 hit "Lick It Up." KISS art director Dennis Woloch recalls the group's early days and the struggles the band faced before making it while engineer Jay Messina recalls the drama and subterfuge behind one of their biggest hits. Twisted Sister's Dee Snider, Megadeth's Marty Friedman and guitar virtuoso Steve Vai reveal their love for the band and their stories of hearing the most memorable songs from KISS. Story of The Songs is produced by Viacom International Studios UK.

Judas Priest: Story of Their Songs premieres on Sunday, July 24 at 10pm ET/ 7pm PT. Judas Priest led a heavy metal wave out of the UK in the 1970s and never took their foot off of the gas pedal. Still touring five decades later in 2022 Judas Priest laid their own foundation for a sound and style that would serve as inspiration for countless heavy metal bands. Now in fresh interviews lead vocalist and heavy metal legend Rob Halford and bassist Ian Hill share the stories of the three songs that defined Judas Priest and helped shape the genre of heavy metal music. Halford discusses the iconic 1980 hit "Breaking the Law" with one of the most celebrated guitar riffs in history and the social unrest that inspired its lyrics. After disappointment when their next album "Point of Entry" failed to make the big breakthrough Judas Priest began work on "Screaming for Vengeance" but it still lacked a hit. Producer Tom Allom recalls how the band revisited throwaway material from prior recording sessions and played what he calls a "magic take" that became the basis for the band's U.S. commercial breakthrough in "You've Got Another Thing Coming". After overcoming intra-band turmoil in the mid 1980s Judas Priest returned to the studio with a new sound. The single "Turbo Lover" with its glam metal and synthesizer sounds was a marked departure for Judas Priest that rankled longtime fans. Halford shares his personal inspiration for "Turbo Lover" lyrics while renowned music video director Wayne Isham talks about its wild music video that would attract a new generation of Judas Priest fans. Story of The Songs is produced by Viacom International Studios UK.
