TORONTO - March 13, 2023 - Prime Video today announced the green light of two new seasons of the hit series, LOL: Qui Rira Le Dernier?, with stand-up comedian, actor, writer, director, and producer Patrick Huard (Bon Cop Bad Cop, Starbuck) returning as host for both seasons of the Canadian Amazon Original series. Featuring a cast of popular French-speaking comedic actors and stand-ups competing to make each other laugh first, the Quebec version of the global comedy format will be shot in Montreal by producers Attraction. LOL: Qui Rira Le Dernier? will be available exclusively on Prime Video in 240 countries and territories worldwide.

The Amazon Original series uses dozens of cameras to catch all of the hilarious action during the unpredictable six-hour competition, and follow a select group of established comedy stars and up-and-coming talent who bring various styles to the table, including stand-up, character, improvisational, and physical comedy.
LOL: Qui Rira Le Dernier? is an adaptation of Documental, the successful Japanese Amazon Original series created by and starring Hitoshi Matsumoto and owned by Yoshimoto Kogyo, where Matsumoto leads 10 comedians in an anything-goes "battle of laughter behind closed doors." The Prime Video fan-favourite format includes local versions in Canada, Japan, Mexico, Australia, Germany, Italy, France, India, and Spain. Local celebrity hosts include Jay Baruchel, Eugenio Derbez, Fedez, Michael "Bully" Herbig, and Rebel Wilson.
LOL: Qui Rira Le Dernier? is part of Prime Video's continued investment in Canada, adding to the slate of Canadian Amazon Original series that includes The Sticky, Pendant Ce Temps en Cuisine, Nuit Blanche, Three Pines, The Kids in the Hall, The Lake, LOL: Last One Laughing Canada, All or Nothing: Toronto Maple Leafs, and The Unsolved Murder of Beverly Lynn Smith.
