DINO DEX (Amazon, New!) - Sinking Ship Entertainment has sold the latest installment of its "Dino" franchise to the streaming service. "Dino Dex" is a new 13-episode series due in 2024 which "will follow nine-year-old Dex, who is an artist, disruptor, and paleontologist in training. Like Dan, Trek, and Dana before him, Dex uses the Dino Field Guide and has a magical ability to see dinosaurs in the real world but he envisions them differently, wanting to reconsider how they look, act eat and more using his artistic eye. His neighbor Kayla, who loves rocks and geology, comes along for the ride as the pair re-examine everything known about the prehistoric creatures." J.J. Johnson is presumably among the auspices. (Deadline.com, 7/10)
DUNE: THE SISTERHOOD (Max) - Filming on the series is on track to resume in Budapest. Said report indicates the project is "under contract with British Equity, with some from SAG-AFTRA also in the mix." (Deadline.com, 7/13)
GENTLEMEN, THE (Netflix) - Harry Goodwins and Ruby Sear are both bound for Guy Ritchie's Netflix series. They'll play Jack and Gabrielle, respectively. No character details were given. (Deadline.com, 7/13)
HOUSE OF THE DRAGON/INDUSTRY (HBO) - Both series are expected to continue shooting in the UK this summer due to "a largely British cast working under Equity contracts rather than SAG-AFTRA ones." (Deadline.com, 7/13)
NEON (Netflix) - Tainy, Lex Borrero and Ivan Rodriguez are the latest to be named Executive Music Producers on the series where they'll write and produce original songs. (Deadline.com, 7/12)
SEX LIVES OF COLLEGE GIRLS, THE (Max) - ReneƩ Rapp's Leighton will exit the series during its upcoming third season. (Deadline.com, 7/10)
VICE (Showtime) - The documentary series is the latest to be pulled from Showtime and sibling Paramount+. While the series hasn't officially been canceled, it's understood producer Vice News is on the hunt for a new home. (THR.com, 7/13)
