A new chief is Reporting for Duty and this precinct has never seen anything like it! Leandro Hassum's first Netflix show will be released September 6
São Paulo, July 27, 2023 - Hands up: it's time to surrender - to comedy! Netflix has just announced that Reporting for Duty, its first show starring Leandro Hassum, will debut on September 6, 2023. Light and funny, with a cast born to make you laugh, this super-Brazilian workplace comedy follows the hectic, quirky events at a police station in the Tijuca neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro, where a new - and bumbling - chief has just started.
Suzano (Leandro Hassum) was born and raised in the fictional city of Campo Manso in rural Rio de Janeiro state. But after accidentally capturing a fugitive criminal affiliated with an illegal gambling ring, he finds himself transferred to the center of the action: Rio itself. The new chief's in over his head, and the 8th Precinct of Rio de Janeiro is turned upside down. None of his colleagues, who are always ready to spring into action, believe that he'll last very long there. But his rather unconventional methods, along with his huge heart, might be just the secret weapon they need to take a bite out of crime.
Reporting for Duty is produced by Camisa Listrada from an original concept by Leandro Hassum, Fabíola Alves, Gui Cintra and Nigel Goodman. Pedro Amorim is lead director, with Hassum himself and Carol Minêm also serving as directors. The script is by Carol Garcia (final script), César Amorim, Edu Araujo, Fabíola Alves, Gui Cintra, Pedro Emanuel, Pedro Perazzo and Victor Rodrigues. Alongside Hassum, Luciana Paes, Taumaturgo Ferreira, Jefferson Schroeder, Babu Carreira, Digão Ribeiro, Cauê Campos and Josie Antello play characters at the precinct. The cast also includes Aline Borges, Bruno Cabrerizo, Pedro Wagner, Tenca, Louise Cardoso, Elisa Pinheiro, Leandro Ramos, Júlia Guerra, Cleber Salgado, George Sauma, Raphael Ghanem, Valentina Melleu and Fábio de Luca, among others.
