Netflix Confirms the Second Season of the Brazilian Original 'Stranded With My Mother-in-Law'
São Paulo, November 7, 2023 - The audience asked, and Netflix answered! Those who loved the families in Stranded with my Mother-In-Law can now celebrate because the second season of the show is confirmed. Still without a release date, the reality show will have more episodes and promises to once again be the focus of fans' marathons.
With its unique and original Brazilian format, Stranded with my Mother-In-Law premiered on October 9th on Netflix and has generated a lot of buzz since then with the spontaneity of five mothers-in-law and their families. Isolated on a deserted island on the coast of São Paulo, they competed for the prize of R$500,000, with a lot of drama and adrenaline involved.
"Stranded with my Mother-In-Law is an original idea from Netflix, inspired by Brazil, our realities, and reflections on the society in which we live. We are very happy to bring another season to our screens for our fans and continue to invest in developing original reality show formats," says Elisa Chalfon, director of non-fiction content at Netflix Brazil.
Presented by Fernanda Souza and moderated by the psychologist Shenia Karlson, the show was a success in the country and around the world, ranking in the top 10 of the most-watched series on the service.
