UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - Feb. 20, 2024-- Oxygen True Crime, the home of high-quality true-crime programming, expands its robust slate of bone-chilling content with new series "Sin City Murders," premiering Sunday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. ET/PT, and "Kill or Be Killed," premiering Saturday, March 2 at 9 p.m. ET/PT following a new episode of "Cold Justice" at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
ABOUT 'SIN CITY MURDERS'
Oxygen has examined unspeakable crimes in New York, Los Angeles, Orange County and Atlanta, and is now venturing to Las Vegas, where the bright lights and good times belie a dark underbelly of evildoing transpiring on the glamorous Strip and in the vast desert surrounding it.
"Sin City Murders" recounts chilling homicide cases ranging from a greed-motivated casino slaying in the heart of the strip to a professional hit on a legendary lounge act to a disappearing influencer found encased in a desert tomb, all unique to this vibrant and popular destination. With first-hand accounts by the investigators, who have one of the highest solve rates across the entire U.S., and families who lived through these cases, each hourlong episode unravels a specific investigation that deeply impacted the surrounding Las Vegas community and ultimately highlights the justice that is brought to the victims and their loved ones.
"Vanishing of a Showgirl" (Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. ET/PT)
When an ambitious Luxor Hotel dancer on the eve of her biggest night misses rehearsal and disappears, Metro detectives investigate an abandoned car, security video and backstage trysts until a grisly discovery stuns the Strip's close-knit dance community.
"Hip Hop Homicide" (March 3 at 7 p.m. ET/PT)
Metro detectives hunt for clues in grainy surveillance video after a rising rapper is gunned down outside a Las Vegas hot spot, leaving his anguished family seeking answers before a similar attack reveals a cold-blooded pattern and callous murderer.
"Sin City Murders" is produced by 44 Blue Productions. Stephanie Noonan Drachkovitch, David Hale, and Craig Delaval serve as executive producers.
ABOUT 'KILL OR BE KILLED'
Viewers should be prepared to question everything in Oxygen's new series "Kill or Be Killed." These complex cases unpack brutal murders where the killer claims self-defense. Was it really the result of a genuine act of self-preservation, with no other alternative, or was the killer desperately trying to cover-up a cold-blooded murder?
"Kill or Be Killed" is the gripping exploration of self-defense murder cases, where law enforcement, prosecutors and defense attorneys unravel every detail, from the harrowing stories, forensics, interrogations and witness statements that led up to the gruesome event in order to find answers. Through the investigation and sparring of dynamic legal teams, every episode provides an immersive journey, exploring both sides of the story, building to confounding verdicts of guilt or innocence in the eyes of the law. The series also exposes the suspenseful journey loved ones of both the slain and the perpetrators take as they navigate the twists and turns of the investigation and are forced to grapple with the truth.
"Grandma's Gun " (March 2 at 9 p.m. ET/PT)
A teen boy makes a shocking 911 call claiming his grandmother shot him. As detectives investigate, they uncover drugs and deep familial conflicts spanning a generational divide, leaving a jury questioning who to believe.
"Friends 'Til the End" (March 9 at 9 p.m. ET/PT)
After best friends spend an evening Christmas shopping, the night ends with one man fatally shooting the other. The survivor claims self-defense, but his foggy memory, forensic evidence and witness accounts suggest there could be more to the story.
"Kill or Be Killed" is produced by Glass Entertainment Group. Nancy Glass, Jon Hirsch, Eric Neuhaus and Ken Kohler Jr. serve as executive producers. Joshua E. Kessler and Brian Keller serve as co-executive producers.
In addition to the new series additions, fan favorites return to Oxygen, including a new season of "Cold Justice" on Feb. 24 at 8 p.m. ET/PT and new episodes of "Snapped: Killer Couples" on March 3 at 6 p.m. ET/PT.
