SPORTS PERSONALITIES JOY TAYLOR AND MJ ACOSTA-RUIZ TO HOST SEASON 2 OF FUSE MEDIA'S HIT TRAILBLAZING SERIES "LIKE A GIRL"

NEW SEASON HIGHLIGHTING GROUNDBREAKING FEMALE ATHLETES ACCOMPANIED BY LAUNCH OF NEW SHORT-FORM WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT SERIES SHE LEADS

Los Angeles and New York - April 23, 2024 - Fuse Media, the global leader of inclusive entertainment, deepened its commitment to championing female empowerment today by announcing renowned sports personalities Joy Taylor and MJ Acosta-Ruiz as hosts of season 2 of Like A Girl. The company is also announcing the launch of She Leads, a short-form series celebrating women breaking barriers.

Joy Taylor, host of SPEAK on FS1, and MJ Acosta-Ruiz, NFL Network Host/On-Air Personality, are bringing their own A-Game to Like A Girl and elevating the conversation with the epic athletes, execs and coaches who OWN the phrase "Like A Girl." The series offers an intimate, personal perspective on the issues women face on and off the field. Equal pay, mental and reproductive health, body image, gender and race inequality, it's all fair game. Previous guests have included icons such as Olympic medalist April Ross, WNBA player Angel McCoughtry, and Paralympic three-time champion Anastasia Pagonis.

Taylor and Acosta-Ruiz, eager to embark on this transformative journey together, are poised to amplify the voices of women in empowering roles. Their chemistry isn't just professional; it's rooted in genuine friendship that began in college, enhancing the authenticity of their collaboration on the show.

New Short-Form Series Celebrates Women Who Take Charge

In addition, Fuse Media will also expand its women's empowerment content by creating She Leads, a series of short-form videos designed to inspire the next generation of girls eager to shatter the glass ceiling. These initiatives strengthen Fuse Media's commitment to empowering women across all spheres to become the best versions of themselves and continue to break barriers.

The series will focus on celebrating the triumphs of women who break barriers and inspire others to follow suit. The goal of these bite-size narratives is to connect with a broad audience via social media, motivating and empowering women of all backgrounds to advocate for themselves and defy stereotypes.

"We remain steadfast in our mission to create and distribute content that ignites the ambitions of the next generation of trailblazing women," said Tania Campos, head of affiliate marketing & special projects. "By amplifying women's voices, we not only celebrate their leadership but also catalyze meaningful action through an engaging mentorship series, impactful narratives, and entertaining content."

Empowering Women Athletes Extends To Combate Global MMA

Women athletes also take center stage on Combate Global MMA, the premier Hispanic Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) sports franchise exclusive to Fuse in English. On Saturday, May 11, Combate Global's historic women's MMA showdown will take place.

As part of its mission to elevate women's voices, Fuse Media celebrates women via a number of culture-forward franchises, including Buy Small, an advocacy initiative that supports women and minority owned small business by providing free social media promotion and 30-second streaming and TV spots. Fuse Media has also committed to featuring women and minority owned businesses in original content.
