(New York, NY) - May 1, 2024 - "Rich & Shameless" returns to TNT with new - and explosive - standalone specials this May following the NBA Western Conference Finals. This original series tells the true stories of the successes, failures, thrills, and miseries behind the biggest sports stars to reveal the dangers of making it in the big leagues. Subjects include Brett Favre's alleged involvement in a welfare scheme, the NFL "Bountygate" scandal, Yasiel Puig's harrowing odyssey from Cuba to the MLB, and how an attempt to throw a boxing match led to murder.

Brett Favre, a maverick quarterback who knew no limits on the field, has become embroiled in a welfare funds scandal that threatens to tarnish his legacy and reputation. This film explores how Favre's fame, money and privilege may have taken him out of bounds.
