NBC CELEBRATES RED NOSE DAY'S 10TH ANNIVERSARY WITH HOURLONG STAR-STUDDED SPECIAL SET FOR MAY 23 AT 8 P.M. ET/PT
"Red Nose Day: Cheers to Ten Years" Will Look Back at Both Memorable Moments and the Life-Changing Impact of Campaign's First Decade to Help End Child Poverty
NEW YORK - May 7, 2024 - NBC will celebrate Red NoseDay's first decade in the U.S. with "Red Nose Day: Cheers to Ten Years," a one-hour special airing Thursday, May 23 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
The star-studded special will look back at the hilarious, inspirational and unforgettable moments of NBC's Red NoseDay programming and the life-changing impact of the campaign's first 10 years.
The funniest skits from past Red Nose Days will be featured, including Coldplay's "Game of Thrones" the Musical, basketball with Paul Rudd & Blake Griffin, Kate McKinnon's "SNL" Weekend Update sketch and more.
A look back at the short film "Red Nose Day Actually," reuniting writer-director Richard Curtis and the cast of his beloved film "Love Actually" will also be featured.
The special will also include stories that highlight the impact of donations to Red Nose Day and how they help children across the U.S. and around the world. A rebroadcast of the Red NoseDay episode of "The Wall" will follow the special at 9 p.m.
Red Nose Day, the annual fundraising campaign by Comic Relief US to help end child poverty, returns for its 10th year on May 23. Known for its iconic Red Nose and using the power of entertainment to drive social change, Red Nose Day is about people coming together to have fun, raise money and change lives.
Celebrating a decade of life-changing impact, Red Nose Dayhas raised more than $370 million since it began in the U.S. in 2015, positively impacting more than 35 million children and young people to date. The funds raised directly support programs that keep children safe, healthy, educated and empowered.

NBC has supported Red Nose Day for 10 years with primetime Red Nose Day specials featuring comedy, music performances and many of the biggest stars across entertainment. The specials have also highlighted critical programs supported by Red Nose Day funds that provide children with food, shelter, health services, education and more.
Special Red Nose Day episodes of NBC shows have also marked Red Nose Day through the years. These include a celebrity edition of "American Ninja Warrior," "Hollywood Game Night," "The Wall" and "Running Wild with Bear Grylls," in which Julia Roberts ventured to Kenya and helped deliver life-saving vaccines to a remote village before the vaccines expired. "Celebrity Escape Room" also raised awareness and funds to help children experiencing poverty, with a competitive cast of A-listers immersed in the hilarious, high-energy, no-holds-barredescape.
