New York, NY - May 7, 2024 - The HISTORY(R) Channel's popular competition series "Alone" returns for an impressive twelve-episode eleventh season on Thursday, June 13 at 9pm ET/PT before moving to its regular timeslot of 8pm ET/PT. The pre-season special "Before the Drop" will air just ahead of the season eleven premiere at 8pm ET/PT and will offer an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the participants' final preparations and safety checks before the official launch day. Additionally, season two of the highly rated international version of the series, "Alone Australia," is set to air on The HISTORY(R) Channel for domestic audiences on Thursday, June 20 at 9:30pm ET/PT.
Named "the best reality show ever made" (The New Yorker, 2023), the new season of "Alone" places ten skilled survivalists in the freezing, brutal landscape of Inuvik, Canada, within the Arctic Circle and the northernmost location in series history. Equipped with only ten basic survival tools, the participants face bone-chilling cold, icy landscapes, and intimidating predators including bears, wolves, and moose. Participants must forage for their own food, build shelter, and overcome both physical and mental obstacles while self-recording their journey for a chance to be the last person standing and win the coveted $500,000 cash prize. With no teams, no camera crews, and no gimmicks, "Alone" displays the grit of human endurance and is the ultimate test of human will.
From Leftfield Pictures, this season of "Alone" delivers monumental ingenuity and series 'firsts' including remarkable game harvests, clever inventions, painful medical mishaps, and nerve-wracking animal encounters. It also marks one of the longest running seasons in series history. The survivalists push their skills to the limit, and sometimes beyond, in a fight to endure longer than all others.
Season two of "Alone Australia" drops ten Australian survivalists in the wild terrain of Aotearoa's Te Waipounamu, also known as the South Island of New Zealand. Throughout ten episodes, each skilled participant is challenged by the merciless forces of nature, dangerous wildlife, extreme hunger, and total isolation to be the last one standing and win $250,000 AUD. For the first time, the participants are permitted to hunt with a bow and arrow, which introduces a whole new set of strategies and skills. With wild pig, possum, tahr, and red deer afoot, the stakes and intensity in their quest for sustenance and survival are higher than ever. Who will overcome these intense hurdles to be the last person standing?
