1923 (Paramount+) - Andy Dispensa will recur on the new season as Luca, "a young man working in the engine room of a merchant ship." (Variety.com, 12/9)
BATMAN: CAPED CRUSADER/DUSTER/PRESUMED INNOCENT (Various) - J.J. Abrams's Bad Robot has signed a two-year, first-look, non-exclusive deal for film and TV with Warner Bros. (Deadline.com, 12/10)
BEAUTY, THE (FX) - Rebecca Hall has joined the cast of the upcoming drama, which also features Evan Peters, Ashton Kutcher, Anthony Ramos and Jeremy Pope. (Variety.com, 12/12)
BLOODLUST (Amazon, New!) - Singer & songwriter Halsey is developing a dark comedy TV series at Amazon MGM Studios. She'll pen the project with director Ti West, showrunner Mark Friedman and Anthony Li, Halsey's manager, also executive producing. (Variety.com, 12/10)
CARELL, LAWRENCE & TARSES COMEDY SERIES (HBO) - Charly Clive will star opposite Steve Carell in the upcoming comedy series set on a college campus, centering on an author's complicated relationship with his daughter. (Deadline.com, 12/12)
CRIMINAL MINDS: EVOLUTION (Paramount+) - Matthew Gray Gubler will reprise his "Criminial Minds" role of Dr. Spencer Reid during the spin-off's upcoming third season. (Deadline.com, 12/12)
DARK SIDE OF THE RING (Vice) - The cable channel has renewed its flagship series for a sixth season. Additionally, it has commissioned six new series under its new Vice Sports umbrella: "Pitino: Red Storm Rising," "Calipari: Razor's Edge," "The Verdict," "Dark Side of the Cage," "The Grudge," and "Sports Gone Wrong." "Pitino: Red Storm Rising" follows "the coach of the St. John's University Red Storm (and formerly Kentucky, Louisville and the NBA's New York Knicks and Boston Celtics)." "Calipari: Razor's Edge" is an "intimate, all-access look at Coach John Calipari's first season as head coach of the University of Arkansas Razorbacks, and the winding road that took him there after notable stops at UMass, Kentucky, Memphis and the NBA's New Jersey Nets." Both are due in February with Omaha Productions behind the latter. (Deadline.com, 12/12)
DINNER WITH THE PARENTS (Freevee) - The streamer has pulled the plug on its U.S. adaptation of the U.K.'s "Friday Night Dinner" after one season. (Deadline.com, 12/13)
DTF ST. LOUIS (HBO) - Linda Cardellini will star alongside Jason Bateman and David Harbour in the limited series as Carol. (Deadline.com, 12/9)
FOR ALL MANKIND (Apple TV+) - Barrett Carnahan will recur on the upcoming fifth season as Marcus, "a recent high school graduate living on Mars." (Deadline.com, 12/10)
MAN ON FIRE (Netflix) - Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, star of the upcoming series, "sustained a minor hand injury on Thursday while filming [in] Mexico City which forced production to pause." The actor is scheduled to return to work before production wraps for the holidays. (Deadline.com, 12/7)
NIGHT AGENT, THE (Netflix) - David Lyons, Jennifer Morrison and Stephen Moyer will join the cast of the show's third season with Suraj Sharma and Callum Vinson also on board as recurring. Lyons will play "a former spy lured out of retirement"; Morrison is the First Lady; Moyer is "a top hitman"; and the previously announced Genesis Rodriguez will play "a reporter." PRISON BREAK (REBOOT SERIES) (Hulu) - Elgin James's reboot of the former FOX staple has been ordered to pilot. Plot details remain under wraps about the project, which will be set in the same universe as the original but is not expected to involve its principal characters. Dawn Olmstead, Paul Scheuring, Marty Adelstein and Neal Moritz will also executive produce for 20th Television and Sierra Drive. (Deadline.com, 12/12)
S.W.A.T. (CBS) - Annie Ilonzeh's Devin Gamble has been promoted to series regular effective with this week's episode. (TVLine.com, 12/12)
SESAME STREET (Max) - The streamer will not renew its output deal with Sesame Workshop, meaning the show's upcoming 55th season (due next month) will be its last on the service. (THR.com, 12/13)
SHERIFF COUNTRY (CBS) - W. Earl Brown is expected to join the cast of the "Fire Country" spin-off as Wes, "an off-the-grid marijuana grower as well as the father of Sheriff Mickey Fox and stepfather of Sharon Leone. Wes lives a semi-reclusive life in the mountains of Edgewater, allowing only a select few to know the location of his marijuana grow operation. This illegal business creates tension with his daughter Mickey, the local sheriff. A "lovable outlaw" and "Rippie" (redneck-hippie), Wes is kind and generous toward his family, particularly his granddaughter Skye. However, his good intentions are sometimes undermined by his unreliable nature." (Deadline.com, 12/12)
SHIFTING GEARS (ABC) - Jenna Elfman will recur on the newcomer as Eve Drake, "a spirited choreographer and owner of the dance studio across from Parker Customs." (Deadline.com, 12/12)
SUITS LA (NBC) - The upcoming drama has cast Maggie Grace as Amanda Stevens, "a pro bono lawyer who rents space at Black/Lane law firm in order to have an upscale address for her own practice"; Matt Letscher as Ted's father, "powerful, emotionally unavailable, rules through fear and intimidation"; Sofia Pernas as Elizabeth Smith, "a powerhouse attorney in the District Attorney's office"; and Carson A. Egan as Eddie Black, Ted's "sweet, good-humored and nurturing" brother. (Variety.com, 12/10)

UNTITLED YELLOWSTONE SPIN-OFF PROJECT (Paramount Network, New!) - Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser have closed deals to lead a new spin-off series reprising their "Yellowstone" roles as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, respectively. Taylor Sheridan is behind said project, details of which remain under wraps. It was previously reported Reilly and Hauser were in talks to carry on as leads of a proposed sixth season of "Yellowstone" however it ultimately pivoted into the duo headlining a new series. VICTORIA BECKHAM DOCUMENTARY SERIES (Netflix) - Nadia Hallgren has been tapped to direct the documentary series: "Through an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Victoria's business, access to Victoria, her family, those closest to her and her fashion journey and including never-before-seen archive, the series will tell the story of Victoria's reinvention as a Creative Director of her own brand." WARHAMMER 40,000 (Amazon) - Henry Cavill has announced that a TV series based on the franchise is formally in development at Amazon MGM Studios. The company acquired global rights to the game from Games Workshop two years ago with Cavill attached to star in and executive produce a proposed cinematic universe. (@henrycavill, 12/10)
