New York, NY - December 17, 2024 - BET is excited to announce the premiere of "BET Year in Black 2024," presented by Ford, a one-hour special hosted by CBS News national correspondence and CBS Weekend News anchor Jericka Duncan. This exclusive primetime special, will bring together an entertaining roundtable of Black voices, including comedienne/actor Ms. Pat, comedian/actor Michael Blackson, Hollywood Unlocked founder Jason Lee, and comedienne/entertainer Pretty Vee. Together, they will join Jericka Duncan to revisit and countdown the most unforgettable moments of 2024 across pop culture, entertainment, sports, and news. The special will premiere on Sunday, December 29 at 7 PM ET/PT, with an encore airing on Monday, December 30 at 10 PM ET/PT on BET and BET HER.

Throughout the special, the panel will offer their 'hot takes' on some of the most talked-about stories and viral moments of the year, blending humor and culturally relevant insights. Key moments include Katt Williams' viral "Club Shay Shay" interview, the epic rap battle between hip-hop icons Kendrick Lamar and Drake, and Usher's high-profile Super Bowl performance, Beyoncé's groundbreaking album Cowboy Carter, along with the rise of TikTok star Reesa Teesa and her viral sensation "Who TF Did I Marry" and much more.

In addition to pop culture, the special will also countdown the top moments in news and sports, including Vice President Kamala Harris' historic 2024 presidential campaign, Young Thug's plea deal, the fierce WNBA rivalry between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark, Simone Biles' record-breaking Olympic performance and more.

The special will also include an exclusive musical performance featuring Grammy-nominated and former BET Amplified Artist Muni Long. Known for her soulful hits, Muni Long will perform her chart-topping single "Ruined Me" alongside a heartfelt rendition of the holiday classic "Give Love on Christmas Day." Her performance will add a touch of musical magic to the celebration of Black culture, highlighting the artists and sounds that resonated throughout the year.

"BET Year in Black 2024" is a vibrant celebration of Black culture and the influential figures who shaped the year's most significant moments. The special revisits viral trends and unforgettable headlines and honors the voices, talents, and stories that brought Black communities together in 2024 - including paying tribute to the icons we lost in 2024.
