ABC News*

ABC News announced today a primetime special that follows Isabella Strahan, daughter of "Good Morning America" co-anchor Michael Strahan, and her recent cancer battle. Isabella Strahan was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a common fast-growing malignant brain tumor, in October of 2023, which she shared on "Good Morning America." Following her diagnosis, she underwent surgery to remove the mass, followed by chemotherapy and radiation treatment.

The emotional and intimate one-hour primetime special produced by ABC News Studios and SMAC Productions follows her diagnosis, treatment, recovery and recent return to college cancer-free. Isabella reflects on her fight and setbacks along the way, and she also discusses her decision to go public with her story by starting a YouTube series, benefiting The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke and documenting her battle. The special will also include other cancer patients inspired by Isabella's message.

Isabella's family, including dad Strahan, mom Jean Muggli and twin sister Sophia, discuss the emotional toll of supporting a loved one battling cancer, and her doctors discuss Isabella's treatment, fight, and prognosis.

"Life Interrupted: Isabella Strahan's Fight to Beat Cancer" airs on ABC at 10:02 p.m. EST on Wednesday, Feb. 5, and streams next day on Disney+ and Hulu. The special is a production of ABC News Studios and SMAC Productions. For ABC News Studios, Catherine McKenzie and Erin Brady are executive producers. For SMAC Productions, Constance Schwartz-Morini and FredAnthony Smith are executive producers.
