Prime Video Unveils Comprehensive Schedule for Second Season of Exclusive NWSL on Prime Coverage
Prime Video to Stream 27 Star-Studded Matches in 2025, Including 25 Friday Night Regular-Season Games
Coverage Kicks Off on March 7 with NWSL Challenge Cup: Orlando Pride vs. Washington Spirit, and Concludes in November with a Playoff Quarterfinal Match
NEW YORK - January 22, 2025 - Prime Video announced its schedule for the second season of exclusive NWSL on Prime coverage, featuring 25 regular-season games, one quarterfinal playoff game in November, and the 2025 NWSL Challenge Cup. The NWSL on Prime, presenting premium women's sports programming, further enhances the Prime membership with unparalleled savings, convenience, and entertainment, all in a single membership.
The Challenge Cup kicks off the NWSL season on Friday, March 7, at 8 p.m. EST from Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando. Defending NWSL Champions Orlando Pride will host the Washington Spirit in a rematch of the 2024 championship game.
Prime Video's 25 regular-season matches will stream on Friday nights starting March 14, with coverage beginning each week at 8 p.m. EDT or 10 p.m. EDT. The schedule encompasses every team from across the league, with marquee match-ups and star power showcased throughout the campaign.
Schedule highlights include:
Defending champion Orlando Pride, led by international superstar Marta, along with NWSL Championship MVP Barbra Banda - both 2024 Best XI First Team members - feature in eight matches, including the Champion Celebration against the Chicago Stars FC on March 14;
Portland Thorns, with U.S. Women's National Team member and Best XI First Team forward Sophia Smith, are showcased in five broadcasts, highlighted by rivalry fixtures against Angel City FC on March 21 and the Seattle Reign on April 18;
Chicago Stars FC, headlined by striker Mallory Swanson (who scored the USA's gold medal-winning goal at the 2024 Olympics), star in five NWSL on Prime matchups;
Gotham FC, spearheaded by gold medalists Rose Lavelle and Crystal Dunn, face the Orlando Pride on August 29 in one of their four scheduled games;
Kansas City Current, with reigning MVP and Best XI First Team forward Temwa Chawinga, are slated for four appearances.
