ABC Wins Tuesday, with its Strongest Season Premiere Tuesday In 6 Years among Total Viewers and in 3 Years among Adults 18-49

The Most-Watched TV Program on Tuesday for the Second Week in a Row, ABC�s �Dancing with the Stars� Leads its Slot by Wide Margins in Viewers and Young Adults

Opposite Stiff Season Premiere Competition, �DWTS� Gains Audience in Each Half-hour, Up by 5.6 Million Viewers and 46% in Adults 18-49 from Start to Finish

ABC�s �Boston Legal� Outdraws CBS� Debut of �Smith� in the 10 O�clock Hour, Marking the Series� Top Numbers in 8 Months among Viewers and Young Adults

Tuesday Night (8:00-11:00 p.m.)

With another big turnout for �Dancing With the Stars� and a strong start for �Boston Legal,� ABC won the opening Tuesday of the 2006-07 TV Season in Total Viewers (15.9 million) and Adults 18-49 (4.6/12).

� Compared to the same night last year, ABC's delivery was up by 6.8 million viewers and by 70% in Adults 18-49 (9.1 million viewers & 2.7/7 in AD18-49). In fact ABC delivered its strongest season-opening Tuesday in 6 years among Total Viewers and in 3 years among Adults 18-49 - since 2000 and 2003, respectively.

�Dancing with the Stars� (8:00-10:00 p.m.)

Tuesday's most-watched TV show for the second week in a row, ABC's �Dancing with the Stars� also dominated its time period for the second straight week, even though it faced stiff season premiere competition on the other nets. �Dancing with the Stars� beat its closest competitors in its 2-hour time slot by 5.5 million viewers (18.1 million vs. 12.6 million - CBS) and by 16% in Adults 18-49 (5.2/14 vs. 4.5/12 - Fox). Opposite season premiere competition in the 2-hour time period on NBC (�Deal No Deal�/�Law & Order: CI�) and CBS (�NCIS�/�The Unit�) along with Fox's originals of �House� and �Standoff,� �DWTS� saw its audience grow in each half hour � surging by 5.6 million viewers and by 46% in Adults 18-49 from start to finish.

� �Dancing with the Stars� was up over the second installment of the contest last season by 4% in Viewers and by 13% in Adults 18-49 (17.4 million & 4.6/12 on 1/12/06).

�Boston Legal� (10:00-11:00 p.m.)

During the 10 o'clock hour, the season premiere of ABC's �Boston Legal� outdrew the series debut of CBS' �Smith� by nearly 1 million viewers (11.6 million vs. 10.7 million). �Boston Legal� took second place in the hour to NBC's season opener of �Law & Order: SVU� among viewers and young adults.

� �Boston Legal� marked its strongest performance in 8 months among viewers and young adults � best since 1/24/06.

� The ABC legal drama was up over its year-ago season premiere by 3% in Adults 18-49 (3.5/9 vs. 3.4/9) and by 14% in Adults 18-34 (2.4/7 vs. 2.1/6).
