"NBC SNF" Averaging 17.3 Million Viewers Through 8 Games, Up 9% from 2005

NEW YORK � Oct. 30, 2006 � Last night's "NBC Sunday Night Football" game featuring the Dallas Cowboys in a come-from-behind 35-14 win over the Carolina Panthers, averaged 17.3 million viewers, up 22 percent from the comparable "Monday Night Football" game in 2005 (Jets-Falcons 10/24/05, 14.2 million), and drew a 11.2 household rating and 18 share (8:20-11:20 p.m. ET), up 15 percent versus last year (9.7/16). Through eight games, "NBC Sunday Night Football" is averaging 17.3 million viewers, up nine percent from ABC's "MNF" average through eight games in 2005 (15.9 million), according to fast national data from Nielsen Media Research.

NBC's "SNF" broadcast last night drew higher ratings than all three World Series broadcasts this week, including Friday night's Game 5 Series clincher.

Last night's "SNF" broadcast drew a 6.8 rating in Adults 18-49, 84 percent higher than NBC's A18-49 rating on this same night last year (3.7 from 8:30-11 p.m. ET), 38 percent higher in households (11.2 vs. 8.1) and 42 percent higher in viewers (12.23 million vs. 17. 3 million).

Season to date, NBC "SNF" is averaging an 11.1/18 in households, up five percent from ABC "MNF" at this same point last season.

Last night's "SNF" game drew 43 million total, unduplicated viewers, 23 percent higher than watched last year's Jets-Falcons on ABC.
