NBC RATINGS RESULTS FOR THE WEEK OF APRIL 23-29

BURBANK, Calif. � May 1, 2007 � NBC averaged a 2.1 rating, 6 share in adults 18-49 and 6.7 million viewers overall for the week of April 23-29, according to "live plus same day" in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

Averages for the week of April 23-29 in adults 18-49 were Fox (4.5/13), ABC (3.3/10), CBS (2.9/9), NBC (2.1/6), Univision (1.6/5), CW (1.3/4) and Telemundo (0.4/1). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were Fox (11.5 million), CBS (10.8 million), ABC (9.6 million), NBC (6.7 million), Univision (3.6 million), CW (3.1 million) and Telemundo (0.9 million).

In regular program averages through the first 32 weeks of the 2006-07 season, NBC is up 3 percent versus last year's average in adult 18-49 rating (3.3 vs. 3.2), making it the only network delivering a year-to-year gain. Fox is even with last season with a 4.2 rating and both CBS and ABC are down 8 percent (from a 3.9 at this point last year to a 3.6 currently for both networks).

NBC highlights for the week of April 23-29:

* "Heroes" was the #1 program on television Monday night in primetime's key demographic of adults 18-49, on a night that included such original competition as ABC's "Dancing With Stars" and "The Bachelor," Fox's "24" and CBS' "Two and a Half Men," "King of Queens" and "CSI: Miami."

* For the week, "Heroes" ranked #7 in adults 18-49, #5 in men 18-34 and 25-54 and #4 in men 18-49. "Heroes" was the #2 scripted show of the week among men 18-49 behind only Fox's "House."

* Also on Monday, "Deal or No Deal" ranked #2 in adults 18-49 and total viewers and #1 among all key male demographics � men 18-49, men 18-34 and men 25-54

* On Thursday, both "My Name is Earl" and "The Office" ranked #2 in 18-49 and #1 in adults 18-34 in their hotly competitive half-hours, topping first-run episodes of ABC's "Ugly Betty," CBS' "Survivor" and Fox's "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader" in the latter demo.

* On Saturday, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" led the 10 p.m. hour in 18-49 with NBC's highest rating in the time period in five weeks.

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

Additional NBC highlights for the week of April 23-29:

On Monday, April 23 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Deal or No Deal" (3.3 rating, 10 share in adults 18-49, 11.0 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in adults 18-49 and total viewers and #1 among all key adult male demographics -- men 18-34, men 18-49 and men 25-54. From its first half-hour to its second "Deal" grew by 32 percent in 18-49 (to a 3.7/10 from a 2.8/9) and by 23 percent in total viewers (to 12.1 million from 9.8 million).

Monday from 9-10:02 p.m. ET, "Heroes" (5.3/13 in 18-49, 6.8 million viewers overall) decisively won its extraordinarily competitive hour in adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and other key demographics, versus such original competition as Fox's "24," CBS' "Two and a Half Men" and "King of Queens" and ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" and "The Bachelor."

"Heroes" was the top-rated program on any network Monday night in primetime's key demographic of adults 18-49.

Monday from 10:02-11 p.m. ET, the debut of "The Real Wedding Crashers" averaged a 2.9/8 in adults 18-49 and 6.7 million viewers overall. "Real Wedding Crashers" ranked #2 in all key adult male demos.

On Tuesday, April 24 at 8 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" averaged a 1.3/4 in 18-49 and 4.9 million viewers overall. At 9 p.m., an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" delivered a 1.3/3 in 18-49 and 4.5 million viewers overall.

Tuesday from 10-11 p.m., ET, a rebroadcast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (2.3/6 in 18-49, 7.6 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in from the previous hour by 77 percent in 18-49 rating, to tie ABC's first-run competing drama "Boston Legal," which had a 223 percent lead-in advantage, and CBS' "Cold Case" encore special, which had a 123 percent lead-in advantage, among adults 18-49. "SVU" grew by 68 percent in total viewers versus its lead-in from the previous hour.

NBC steadily built audience throughout Tuesday night, growing by 100 percent in adult 18-49 rating and by 62 percent in overall total viewers from the first to the final half-hour of primetime (to a 2.4/7 in 18-49 and 8.1 million viewers overall from 10:30-11 p.m. from a 1.2/4 in 18-49 and 5.0 million viewers from 8-8:30 p.m.).

On Wednesday, April 25 at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Thank God You're Here" averaged a 1.5/4 in 18-49 and 4.5 million viewers overall. At 9 p.m., "Crossing Jordan" (1.8/5 in 18-49, 6.4 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in from the previous hour by 20 percent in adults 18-49 and by 43 percent in total viewers. At 10 p.m. ET, "Medium" (2.4/6 in 18-49, 7.2 million viewers overall) grew by 33 percent in 18-49 and by 12 percent in total viewers versus its lead-in from the previous hour. NBC steadily built audience throughout Wednesday night, increasing by 67 percent in adults 18-49 and by 69 percent in overall total viewers from the first to the final half-hour of primetime (to a 2.5/7 in 18-49 and 7.6 million viewers overall from 10:30-11 p.m. from a 1.5/4 in 18-49 and 4.5 million viewers from 8-8:30 p.m.).

On Thursday, April 26 at 8 p.m. ET, "My Name is Earl" (3.2/10 in 18-49, 7.5 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in adults 18-49 and #1 in adults and men 18-34 versus original competition in this hotly contested time period from ABC's "Ugly Betty," CBS' "Survivor" and Fox's "5th Grader."

Thursday at 8:30 p.m. ET, "The Office" (3.9/11 in 18-49, 7.6 million viewers overall) was #2 in adults 18-49 and #1 among adults and men 18-34, topping "Survivor," "Ugly Betty" and "5th Grader" in those latter measures. In the elusive demographic of men 18-34, "The Office" topped its nearest competitor (Fox's "5th Grader") by a 43 percent margin (a 4.3/14 for "Office" vs. a 3.0/10 for "5th Grader").

In adults 18-49, "The Office" built on its lead-in from "Earl" by 22 percent.

Thursday from 9-9:31 p.m. ET, "30 Rock" averaged a 2.4/6 in 18-49 and 4.7 million viewers overall. From 9:31-10:01 p.m., "Scrubs" delivered a 2.3/6 in 18-49 and 4.7 million viewers overall.

Thursday from 10:01-11 p.m. ET, "ER." (3.7/10 in 18-49, 9.5 million viewers overall) increased by 61 percent in 18-49 rating versus its lead-in, while the competing dramas on ABC and CBS both declined versus their respective lead-ins � with "ABC's "October Road" declining by 51 percent in 18-49 versus its "Grey's Anatomy" lead-in and "Shark" dropping by 36 percent in the demo from its "CSI" lead-in. In overall total viewers, "ER" more than doubled its lead-in, increasing by 105 percent.

On Friday, April 27 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Identity" delivered a 1.5/6 in 18-49 and 5.2 million viewers overall. At 9 p.m., "Raines" averaged a 1.4/5 in 18-49 and 5.6 million viewers overall. At 10 p.m., "Law & Order" (1.9/6 in 18-49, 7.5 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in by 36 percent in 18-49 rating and by 35 percent in total viewers.

On Saturday, April 28, at 8 p.m., "Dateline NBC" averaged a 0.9/4 in 18-49 and 4.5 million viewers overall. At 9 p.m., an encore telecast of "Law & Order: SVU" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in by 33 percent in 18-49 ratings. At 10 p.m., a rebroadcast of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" (1.9/6 in 18-49, 7.1 million viewers overall) was #1 in 18-49, 25-54, total viewers and other key measures. "Criminal Intent" delivered NBC's highest 18-49 rating in this hour since March 24.

On Sunday, April 29 from 7-9 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.7/6 in 18-49. 7.7 million viewers overall) scored its highest Sunday 18-49 rating in four weeks and its biggest Sunday overall viewership of the season. From its first to its fourth half-hour, "Dateline" increased in 18-49 rating by 75 percent (to a 2.1/6 from a 1.2/5) and in overall viewership by 80 percent (to 9.9 million from 5.5 million). From 9-11 p.m., the 2004 feature film "Along Came Polly" averaged a 1.6/4 in 18-49 and 5.0 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Along Came Polly" grew in 18-49 rating by 20 percent (to a 1.8/5 from a 1.5/4).
