BURBANK, Calif. - June 19 2006 � Last night, "Dateline NBC," featuring Matt Lauer's first-ever American television interview with Prince William and Prince Harry, reported the highest adult 18-49 and total-viewer results of any edition of "Dateline" in more than two years, pacing NBC to a Monday win in 18-49 and total viewers, according to preliminary "fast affiliate-based" "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

At 10 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (4.1 rating, 12 share in adults 18-49, 12.2 million viewers overall) scored the highest 18-49 rating and total viewership for any edition of "Dateline" since Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005. "Dateline" generated NBC's top results in the Monday 10-11 p.m. time period in both 18-49 and total viewers in five months (since the January 15 telecast of the Golden Globes).

"Dateline" won the time slot by every key ratings measure and beat the ABC-CBS competition combined among women 18-49 and women 25-54. In adults 18-49, "Dateline" ruled with a 46 percent margin of victory (4.1/12 vs. a 2.8/8 for CBS' "CSI: Miami" encore in second place). "Dateline" was the #1 telecast on any network Monday night in 18-49, total viewers and other key measures.

At 8 p.m. ET, "Deal or No Deal" (3.1/10 in 18-49, 11.9 million viewers overall) kicked off the night with a time period win in 18-49, total viewers and virtually all key ratings measures, matching NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the slot since April 30. From half-hour to half-hour, "Deal" grew by 38 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 3.6/11 from a 2.6/9) and by 3.0 million total viewers (to 13.4 million from 10.4 million).

At 9 p.m. ET, the debut of "Age of Love" (2.4/7 in 18-49, 7.0 million viewers overall) earned NBC's top 18-49 rating and total-viewer result in the time period since the season finale of "Heroes" on May 21.

NBC won Monday night in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures. This marks NBC's 18th Monday win of the 2006-07 broadcast year in 18-49 and 12th win in total viewers.

Preliminary 18-49 averages for Monday night are: NBC, 3.2 rating, 9 share; Fox, 2.5/8; CBS 2.2/7; ABC, 1.8/5; CW, 0.7/2. In overall total viewers, June 18 preliminary results are: NBC, 10.4 million; CBS, 7.2 million; Fox, 5.4 million; ABC, 4.6 million; and CW, 1.7 million.

In local-market late-night results last night, "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" (5.3 rating, 13 share in metered-market households) defeated CBS' "Late Show with David Letterman" (2.8/7 with an encore telecast) and ABC's "Nightline" (2.7/6) and "Jimmy Kimmel Live" (1.2/4 with an encore). Jay has finished #1 versus regular late-night competition on 193 of 196 nights so far this broadcast year in the metered markets (including ties).

At 12:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" (2.1/7) beat CBS' "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.5/5). Conan has finished #1 versus regular competition on 186 of 196 nights so far this broadcast year in the metered markets (including ties).
