NBC RANKS #2 FOR THE WEEK IN 18-49 AND TOTAL VIEWERS, WITH 'AMERICA'S GOT TALENT' SCORING AS THE #1 SHOW ON TELEVISION IN TOTAL VIEWERS FOR A SECOND STRAIGHT WEEK

WEEK TWO OF 'TALENT' GENERATES NBC'S HIGHEST TUESDAY 8-10 P.M. 18-49 SCORE SINCE DECEMBER 2005, EXCLUDING OLYMPICS

NBC IS UP 5 PERCENT VERSUS THE SAME WEEK LAST YEAR IN 18-49 WHILE THE OTHER MAJOR NETWORKS ARE ALL DOWN YEAR-TO-YEAR

BURBANK, Calif. � June 19, 2007 � NBC has finished #2 in adults 18-49 and total viewers for the week of June 11-17, with the Tuesday telecast of NBC's "America's Got Talent" ranking #1 for the week among all primetime broadcast programs in total viewers (excluding Sunday's overrun coverage of golf's U.S. Open on NBC). It's the second week in a row "Talent" has ranked #1 in total viewers.

For the week of June 11-17, NBC averaged a 2.1 rating, 7 share in adults 18-49 and 6.5 million viewers overall, according to "live plus same day" in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

"America's Got Talent" delivered Tuesday night's #1 rating in 18-49 and generated NBC's highest 18-49 score in the time period in nearly a year and a half (excluding Olympics). In addition to ranking #1 for the week in total viewers, "America's Got Talent" finished #1 among teens 12-17, #2 among adults 25-54, #3 among kids 2-11 and #4 among adults 18-49.

Primetime averages for the week of June 11-17 in adults 18-49 were Fox (2.2/8), NBC (2.1/7), CBS (1.9/6), ABC (1.8/6), Univision (1.5/5), CW (0.7/2) and Telemundo (0.4/1). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were CBS (7.3 million), NBC (6.5 million), Fox (5.7 million), ABC (5.1 million), Univision (3.5 million), CW (1.8 million) and Telemundo (0.9 million).

NBC is up 5 percent versus the same week last year in adults 18-49 (2.1 vs. 2.0) while the other three major networks are all down: Fox, 2.2 vs. 2.4, down 8 percent; CBS, 1.9 vs. 2.2, down 14 percent; and ABC, 1.8 vs. 2.5 (with two NBA Finals games last week vs. three for the same week last year), down 28 percent.

In regular program averages through 39 weeks of the 2006-07 broadcast year, NBC is running within a tenth of a point of last year's average in adult 18-49 rating (3.1 vs. 3.2). While Fox is flat versus last year in regular-program averages, ABC is down 5 percent (from a 3.7 at this point last year to a 3.5 this year) and CBS is down 8 percent (from a 3.7 to a 3.4).

NBC highlights for the week of June 11-17:

* On Tuesday, "America's Got Talent" scored NBC's highest non-Olympic rating in that 8-10 p.m. ET time period since December 2005 in adults 18-49 and attracted NBC's biggest overall viewership in the time slot, excluding Olympics, since November 2005.

* "America's Got Talent" delivered Tuesday's #1 rating in 18-49, total viewers and other key ratings categories.

* On Wednesday, the season debut of "Last Comic Standing" grabbed NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the time period since January. "Last Comic Standing" was the #8-ranked program of the week in both adults 18-49 and in total viewers.

* On Thursday, "The Office" generated a 24 percent week-to-week gain in adults 18-49.

* NBC won Sunday night in adults 18-49 with an overrun of NBC Sports' coverage of golf's U.S. Open, plus "Dateline NBC" and an encore of Wednesday's two-hour season premiere of "Last Comic Standing."

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

Additional NBC highlights for the week of June 11-17:

On Monday, June 11 from 8-10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of the previous week's season premiere of "America's Got Talent" averaged a 2.0 rating, 6 share in adults 18-49 and 6.5 million viewers overall. The "America's Got Talent" rebroadcast tied for #2 in the time period in 18-49.

Monday at 10 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (2.5/7 in 18-49, 7.4 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in 18-49 and #1 among adults 18-34 (tie) and men 18-34.

On Tuesday, June 5 from 8-10 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" (3.9/12 in 18-49, 11.8 million viewers overall) scored NBC's highest non-Olympic 18-49 rating in the time period in nearly a year and a half (since December 20, 2005). In total viewers, it's NBC's biggest non-Olympic audience in the time period since November 29, 2005. "America's Got Talent" dominated its time slot and was Tuesday's #1 telecast in 18-49, total viewers and numerous other key ratings categories. The "America's Got Talent" 18-49 margin of victory in the time period was 77 percent (3.9 vs. 2.2 for ABC's "Fast Cars & Superstars," "NBA Pre-Game" and "NBA Finals").

From its first half-hour to its fourth, "America's Got Talent" increased its 18-49 rating by 39 percent (to a 4.3/12 from a 3.1/11) and its overall audience by 3.23 million viewers or 33 percent (to 13.1 million from 9.8 million). Week-to-week, "America's Got Talent" maintained its 18-49 rating in the 9-10 p.m. hour (4.3 vs. 4.3).

Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (2.6/8 in 18-49, 8.8 million viewers overall) was the time period's #1 non-sports choice in all key ratings categories and is #1 overall in all key adult-female demos.

NBC won Tuesday night in 18-49 and total viewers for a second week in a row.

On Wednesday, June 13 at 8 p.m. ET, "Deal or No Deal" averaged a 1.8/6 in 18-49 and 8.0 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its second, "Deal" increased its 18-49 rating by 18 percent (to a 2.0/7 from a 1.7/6). "Deal" earned NBC's highest overall viewer total in the time period since December 20.

Wednesday from 9-11 p.m. ET, the season premiere of "Last Comic Standing" (2.9/8 in 18-49, 6.9 million viewers overall) delivered NBC's highest 18-49 rating in this time period in four months (since January 31). From its first half-hour to its fourth half-hour, "Last Comic" increased its 18-49 rating by 33 percent (to a 3.2/10 from a 2.4/7) and its total viewership by 1.0 million viewers or 15 percent (to 7.5 million from 6.5 million).

"Last Comic Standing" won its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET in all key demographics (including a tie among women 25-54). For that second hour, "Last Comic" beat the ABC-CBS competition combined among adults, men and women 18-34.

On Thursday, June 14 at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "My Name is Earl" (1.7/6 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in the time period against all original competition on the major networks.

At 8:30 p.m. ET Thursday night, a rebroadcast of "30 Rock" (1.6/5 in 18-49, 4.1 million viewers overall) retained 94 percent of its 18-49 lead-in from "Earl." Against all original competition on the major networks, the "30 Rock" encore tied for #2 for the time period in 18-49.

Thursday from 9-9:32 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "The Office" (2.1/7 in 18-49, 4.5 million viewers overall) generated a week-to-week gain of 24 percent in 18-49 (2.1/7 vs. 1.7/5) and a 17 percent increase in total viewers (4.5 million vs. 3.8 million). The June 14 telecast of "The Office" built on its 18-49 lead-in by 31 percent. From 9:32-10:03 p.m., a rebroadcast of "Scrubs" delivered a 1.9/6 in 18-49 and 3.9 million viewers overall. And from 10:03-11 p.m., "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" averaged a 1.7/5 in 18-49 and 4.2 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its second, "Studio 60" built its 18-49 rating by 13 percent (to a 1.8/6 from a 1.6/5).

On Friday, June 15 at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "1 vs 100" averaged a 1.2/5 in 18-49 and 4.4 million viewers overall. "1 vs 100" tied for #2 in the time period in 18-49. At 9 p.m., a rebroadcast "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" delivered a 1.4/5 in 18-49 and 5.3 million viewers overall. Against all original competition on the major networks, the "Criminal Intent" encore ranked #2 in the time period in 18-49. At 10 p.m., an encore telecast of "Law & Order" (1.9/6 in 18-49, 7.2 million viewers overall) built on its 18-49 lead-in by 36 percent. "Law & Order" ranked #1 in the time period in adults 18-49, tied with CBS' Daytime Emmy Awards telecast. This was "L&O's" top Friday rating in four weeks, up 12 percent in 18-49 versus its current summer average for encores. .

On Saturday, June 16 from 8-10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" averaged a 1.0/4 in 18-49 and 3.7 million viewers overall. From its first hour to its second, "America's Got Talent" increased its 18-49 rating by 33 percent (to a 1.2/5 from a 0.9/4). At 10 p.m., a rebroadcast of "Medium" delivered a 0.7/3 in 18-49 and 2.6 million viewers overall.

On Sunday, June 17 from 7-7:46 p.m. ET, NBC Sports' coverage of golf's U.S. Open dominated the time period with a 3.5/15 in 18-49 and 13.6 million viewers overall. The overrun won its time slot in every key ratings category. Versus the 2006 "U.S. Open" overrun on June 18, 2006 from 7-7:30 p.m. (2.9/12 in 18-49, 10.2 million viewers overall), last Sunday's overrun was up 21 percent in 18-49.

From 7:46-9 p.m. ET Sunday night, "Dateline NBC" (1.6/6 in 18-49, 6.3 million viewers overall) ranked #1 in 18-49.

Sunday from 9-11 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Last Comic Standing" (2.1/6 in 18-49, 4.8 million viewers overall) finished #1 for the time period in 18-49 with NBC's highest rating and overall viewers total in the slot in four weeks.

NBC won Sunday night in 18-49 and other key demographics.
