ABC News' Season Premiere of "Primetime: Family Secrets" Takes Second at 10pm, Beating CBS' "48 Hours Mysteries" in the Hour Across All Key Adult Demos

With premieres of "Shaq's Big Challenge" and "Primetime: Family Secrets," ABC's lineup finished second on the night among Adults 18-49 (1.8/5).
"Shaq's Big Challenge" (9:00-10:00 p.m.)
Building on its lead-in, the series premiere of "Shaq's Big Challenge" increased its Total Viewers (4.2 million to 4.6 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.7/5 to 1.8/5) audiences from its first to its second half-hour.
"Primetime: Family Secrets" (10:00-11:00 p.m.)
In the final hour of primetime, the premiere of ABC News' "Primetime: Family Secrets" finished second in its time-slot, beating its CBS newsmagazine competition, "48 Hours Mysteries," across each of the key adult demographics: Adults 18-34 (1.4/5 vs. 1.0/3), Adults 18-49 (2.1/6 vs. 1.8/5) and Adults 25-54 (2.4/6 vs. 2.2/6).
� "Primetime: Family Secrets" improved ABC's performance in the hour by 1.1 million viewers (5.8 million vs. 4.7 million) and by 62% in Adults 18-49 (2.1/6 vs. 1.3/4) compared to the same night last year (6/27/06).
