With "Wife Swap," the debut of "Fat March" and "Supernanny," ABC posted its top-rated Monday in 5 weeks among Adults 18-49 (2.1/6).
"Wife Swap" (8:00-9:00 p.m.)
ABC's "Wife Swap" finished in a near tie for first place during Monday's 8 o'clock hour among Adults 18-49 (2.4/8), pacing within one-tenth of a rating point of NBC's special 1-hour "Singing Bee." The ABC unscripted series ranked No. 1 in the time period Men 18-34 (1.7/7) and Teens 12-17 (1.2/5-tie).
� In Total Viewers (6.5 million) and Adults 18-49 (2.4/8), "Wife Swap" generated ABC's top numbers in the time period since early June � since 6/4/07.
"Fat March" (9:00-10:00 p.m.)
Opposite established original unscripted competition including Fox's "Hell's Kitchen" and NBC's season finale of "Age of Love," the debut of "Fat March" gained audience for ABC throughout the hour and improved the Net's performance in the time period week to week in both Total Viewers (4.4 million vs. 4.3 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.6/5 v s. 1.3/4).
"Supernanny" (10:00-11:00 p.m.)
ABC's "Supernanny" earned second place during the 10 o'clock hour among Adults 18-49 (2.2/6), matching the Net's top number in the slot in 9 weeks � since 6/4/07. The ABC series won the time slot with Adults 18-34 (2.0/6) and Women 18-34 (2.8/8).
Tuesday
"Primetime: Crime" (9:00-10:00 p.m.)
Building on its lead-in and gaining audience throughout its broadcast against established original competition on NBC ("America's Got Talent"/"Singing Bee") and CBS ("Big Brother"), the premiere of ABC News' "Primetime: Crime" generated ABC's top non-sports delivery in the hour this summer among Total Viewers (7.2 million) and Adults 18-49 (2.2/6-tie). In fact excluding last year's pre-season premiere of "Dancing with the Stars" (9/12/06), "Primetime: Crime" attracted ABC's biggest summertime series audience to the time period since September 2004 � since 9/7/04. The first installment of the series looked at the brutal murders of Alan and Diane Johnson of Sun Valley, Idaho in September 2003. From start to finish, the new show gained 1.0 million viewers (6.7 million to 7.7 million) and 10% among Adults 18-49 (2.1/6 to 2.3/6).
"i-CAUGHT" (10:00-11:00 p.m.)
Retaining nearly all of its young adult lead-in, the series debut of ABC News' "i-CAUGHT" won Tuesday's 10 o'clock hour among Adults 18-49 (2.1/6). The new series also ranked No. 1 on its premiere telecast among Adults 18-34 (1.7/5) and Adults 25-54 (2.5/7). Anchored by Bill Weir, "i-CAUGHT" is a new ABC newsmagazine that brings viewers the real stories and the real people behind the videos that millions watch and share every day.
� Compared to ABC's performance in the hour on the same evening last year (8/8/06), "i-CAUGHT" improved the time period by 2.2 million viewers (6.2 million vs. 4.0 million) and by 62% in Adults 18-49 (2.1/6 vs. 1.3/4).
Sunday
ABC's Sunday night repeat lineup turned in its best non-sports numbers on the night this summer in both viewers (5.0 million) and young adults (1.6/5).
"America's Funniest Home Videos" (7:00-8:00 p.m.)
ABC's repeat "America's Funniest Home Videos" produced its best performance of the summer in Total Viewers (6.3 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.9/7). In addition, the video clip show led the hour among Adults 18-34 (1.5/6) and Kids 2-11 (1.5/7) for the second week in a row.
"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" (8:00-9:00 p.m.)
ABC's rebroadcast "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" placed second in the hour in Total Viewers (6.3 million) and Adults 18-49 (2.3/7), registering its largest audience of the summer for the second week running.
