NBC PRIMETIME RATINGS RESULTS FOR THE WEEK OF AUGUST 27-SEPTEMBER 2

BURBANK, Calif. � September 5, 2007 � NBC has averaged a 1.4 rating, 4 share in adults 18-49 and 4.2 million viewers overall for the week of August 27-September 2, according to "live plus same day" in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

Primetime averages for the week of August 27-September 2 in adults 18-49 were CBS (1.8/6), Fox (1.6/5), ABC (1.4/5), Univision and NBC (1.4/4 each), CW (0.7/2) and Telemundo (0.4/1). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were CBS (6.8 million), Fox (4.4 million), ABC (4.3 million), NBC (4.2 million), Univision (3.2 million), CW (1.8 million) and Telemundo (1.0 million).

In regular program averages through 50 weeks of the 2006-07 broadcast year, NBC is running within 0.2 of a point of last year's average in adult 18-49 rating (2.8 vs. 3.0). Fox is down one-tenth of a point versus last year in regular-program averages (3.7 vs. 3.8), while ABC (3.0 vs. 3.3) and CBS (3.1 vs. 3.4) are both down 0.3 of a point or 9 percent.

NBC highlights for the week of August 27-September 2:

* On Tuesday, an encore telecast of "Live From New York: The First 5 Years of Saturday Night Live" generated a 17 percent gain over NBC's 18-49 rating in the time period on the same night last year.

* Also on Tuesday, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" won the 10 p.m. hour in adults 18-49 and other key ratings categories.

* On Wednesday, "Last Comic Standing" won the 9 p.m. hour in 18-49, total viewers and other key ratings categories. "Last Comic" tied for the #6 ranking for the week in adults 18-49.

* On Sunday, "Saturday Night Live in the '80s: Lost and Found" won the 10 p.m. hour in all key ratings categories and matched or beat the combined ABC-CBS competition in all key adult-male demographics.

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

Additional NBC highlights for the week of August 27-September 2:

On Monday, Aug. 27 from 8-9 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Thank God You're Here" averaged a 1.2 rating, 4 share in adults 18-49 and 3.8 million viewers overall. At 9 p.m., a rebroadcast of "Heroes" delivered a 1.1/3 in 18-49 and 2.9 million viewers overall. At 10 p.m., "Dateline NBC" (1.6/4 in 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall) built on its 18-49 lead-in by 45 percent.

On Tuesday, Aug. 28 from 8-10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Live From New York: The First 5 Years of Saturday Night Live" averaged a 2.1/6 in 18-49 and 5.9 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Live From New York" increased its 18-49 rating by 41 percent (to a 2.4/7 from a 1.7/6) and its overall viewership by 1.6 million persons or 31 percent (to 6.6 million from 5.1 million). The "SNL" special tied for #1 for the time period among men 18-34 and men 18-49 and won the slot outright among men 25-54 opposite original unscripted competition on ABC and CBS. Versus NBC's rating for the same night last year, "Live From New York" was up 17 percent (2.1 vs. 1.8).

Tuesday from 10-11 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.9/5 in 18-49, 5.4 million viewers overall) won the time period in 18-49 and other key ratings categories.

On Wednesday, Aug. 29 from 8-9 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Most Outrageous Moments" averaged a 1.6/5 in 18-49 and 5.7 million viewers overall, to finish #2 in the time period in 18-49, total viewers and other key categories.

At 9 p.m. ET Wednesday, "Last Comic Standing" (2.6/7 in 18-49, 6.5 million viewers overall) won the time period in 18-49, total viewers and numerous other key ratings categories. "Last Comic" built on its 18-49 lead-in by 63 percent.

Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.9/6 in 18-49, 5.7 million viewers overall) finished #2 for the hour in 18-49 and all other key ratings categories.

On Thursday, Aug. 30, NBC's primetime programs were each limited to an 85 percent clearance of the country due to local preemptions for NFL pre-season football. At 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "My Name is Earl" delivered a 1.4/5 in 18-49 and 3.9 million viewers overall. At 8:30 p.m., a rebroadcast of "30 Rock" averaged a 1.1/4 in 18-49 and 3.0 million viewers overall. From 9-9:31 p.m., a rebroadcast of "The Office" delivered a 1.4/4 in 18-49 and 3.1 million viewers overall. From 9:31-10:01 p.m., an encore telecast of "Scrubs" averaged a 1.1/3 in 18-49 and 2.3 million viewers overall. And from 10:01-11 p.m., an encore telecast of "ER" averaged a 0.9/3 in 18-49 and 2.4 million viewers overall.

On Friday, Aug. 31 from 8-10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "1 vs 100" averaged a 0.9/3 in 18-49 and 3.7 million viewers overall. At 9 p.m., "Dateline NBC" delivered a 1.1/4 in 18-49 and 4.3 million viewers overall. And at 10 p.m., an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" averaged a 1.2/4 in 18-49 and 4.7 million viewers overall.

On Saturday, Sept. 1 at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Friday Night Lights" averaged a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 1.3 million viewers overall. At 9 p.m., another "Friday Night Lights" rebroadcast averaged a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 1.5 million viewers overall. And at 10 p.m., a third encore telecast of "Friday Night Lights" delivered a 0.7/3 in 18-49 and 1.9 million viewers overall.

On Sunday, Sept. 2 from 7-9 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" averaged a 1.1/4 in 18-49 and 4.9 million viewers overall. "Dateline" outscored CBS's "60 Minutes" head-to-head from 7-8 p.m. in adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 and other key categories.

Sunday from 9-11 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Saturday Night Live in the '80s: Lost and Found" averaged a 1.6/5 in 18-49 and 4.6 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its fourth, the "SNL" special increased its 18-49 rating by 38 percent (to a 1.8/6 from a 1.3/4) and its overall audience by 22 percent (to 5.0 million from 4.1 million). From 10-11 p.m., "Saturday Night Live in the '80s: Lost and Found" ranked #1 in every key demographic and beat or equaled the combined ABC-CBS competition in all key adult-male demos.
