CBS placed a strong second in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 on the first Monday of the 2007-2008 season, capped by a dominating performance at 10:00 PM by CSI: MIAMI, according to Nielsen Live Plus same-day ratings for Sept. 24.

The third season premiere of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER (5.2/08, 8.12m) was tied for second in adults 25-54 (3.9/10, with NBC) and adults 18-49 (3.3/09, with NBC). CBS Research estimates that all DVR playback should increase ratings by +11% in adults 18-49, +17% in adults 18-34 and +10% in adults 25-54.
The series premiere of THE BIG BANG THEORY (P) (6.0/09, 9.52m) was second in households, tied for second in adults 25-54 (4.4/10, with NBC) averaged a 3.7/09 in adults 18-49.
THE BIG BANG THEORY built on its HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER lead-in by +15% in households, +13% in adults 25-54, +12% in adults 18-49, +11% in adults 18-34 (3.1/08 from 2.8/09) and added +1.40m viewers. CBS Research estimates that all DVR playback will increase ratings by +10% in adults 18-49 and +14% in adults 18-34.
The season premiere of TWO AND A HALF MEN (8.5/12, 13.58m) was second in households, viewers, adults 25-54 (6.0/13) and adults 18-49 (4.8/11). CBS Research estimates that all DVR playback will boost ratings by +8% among adults 18-49, +10% among adults 18-34 and +5% among adults 25-54.
The season premiere of RULES OF ENGAGEMENT (P) was the #1 reported show in its time period in households (7.8/12), viewers (12.23m), adults 25-54 (5.6/12) and adults 18-49 (4.5/10). Compared to the time period delivery on premiere Monday last year, RULES was up +4% in adults 25-54 (from 5.4/12), +7% in adults 18-49 (from 4.2/10) and +1% in viewers (from 12.05m).
RULES retained 93% of its TWO AND A HALF MEN's lead in among adults 25-54, 94% in both adults 18-49 and adults 18-34 (2.9/07 from 3.1/08) and 90% among all viewers. CBS Research estimates that all DVR playback should increase ratings by +9% among adults 18-49, +12% among adults 18-34 and +7% among adults 25-54.
At 10:00 PM, the sixth season premiere of CSI: MIAMI (P) was first in households (10.0/16), viewers (15.08m), adults 25-54 (5.8/14), adults 18-49 (4.6/12) and adults 18-34 (3.2/08). CSI: MIAMI was the night's No. 1 program among viewers. CBS Research estimates all DVR playback should increase ratings by +10% among adults 18-49, +13% among adults 18-34 and +8% among adults 25-54.
For the night, CBS was second in households (7.9/12), viewers (12.27m), adults 25-54 (5.2/12) and adults 18-49 (4.3/11).
