"DEION & PILAR: PRIME TIME LOVE" MAKES PRIMETIME HISTORY
Oxygen Scores Its Best Original Series Premiere
NEW YORK -- April 17, 2008 � Tuesday's premiere of the series "Deion & Pilar: Prime Time Love" claimed the largest audience ever for the debut of an Oxygen series. The airing was the network's most watched series premiere among all key demos including W18-34 (250,000), P18-49 (438,000), W18-49 (334,000) and total viewers (579,000).
The premiere was also Oxygen's best performance in the Tuesday 10:30P half hour among P18-49 and total viewers. Compared to the prior four weeks, impressions improved 61% among P18-49 (438,000 vs. 272,000) and 41% for total viewers (579,000 vs. 411,000). Coming off the success of its best year (2007), quarter (1Q2008) and month (March 2008) ever in the Prime daypart, this best series premiere is another example of Oxygen's continuing growth.
Oxygen.com saw gains leading up to Tuesday's premiere as well. Page views for the Deion & Pilar website on Oxygen.com totaled 178,519 in the week leading up to the show's premiere, which was a 183% increase compared to the week the site launched. Video streams also increased 111%, with 173,088 total streams.
"Deion & Pilar: Prime Time Love" follows the home life of sports superstar Deion Sanders, his wife Pilar and their five kids. The Sanders live in the small town of Prosper, TX � population 5,000 � in a 40,000 square feet house on a 112 acre ranch, complete with marble on the inside and cows on the outside. Everyday life for the Sanders is anything but ordinary. They may be dealing with the issues of raising kids, managing a household, and balancing careers, but the Sanders are doing it on a grand scale.
