Ghost Hunters International Earns Best Performance Since Its Series Premiere
Scare Tactics Makes Triumphant Return With Series High Among Adults 18 - 34
NEW YORK � July 10, 2008 � Last night's season premieres of Ghost Hunters International and Scare Tactics delivered record numbers in key demographics for both shows making SCI FI the #1 cable network in primetime for Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54. Ghost Hunters International earned its best performance since its series premiere in January 2008, and enjoyed double-digit demo growth versus the winter season average. Scare Tactics made a triumphant return to SCI FI, reaching a series-high among Adults18-34, and in other key demos delivered its best performance since its initial series debut in April 2003.
SCI FI demonstrated considerable strength in primetime across all demos and age groups, ranking as the #1 cable network for Adults18-49, Adults 25-54, Women 25-54, Men 25-54 and Men 18-49. In addition the network ranked #2 for Women18-49, #4 for Adults18-34, #4 for Men18-34 and #5 for Women18-34.
Ghost Hunters International (9pm)
� Wednesday's 9pm summer season premiere of Ghost Hunters International earned a 1.6 HH rating, 1.32 million Adults 18-49, 1.4 million Adults 25-54 and 2.3 million total viewers, all the best performances for the series since its debut night on January 9, 2008.
� Compared to the winter season average for Ghost Hunters International this is an improvement of 7% in Household ratings, 5% among Adults 18-49, 11% among Adults 25-54 and 13% in total viewers.
� During Ghost Hunters International 9 pm premiere, SCI FI beat ABC head-to-head among Men 18 � 49.
Scare Tactics (10pm and 10:30pm)
� Scare Tactics made a triumphant return to the network with two brand new back-to-back episodes in the 10pm hour. At 10pm, Scare Tactics delivered a 1.4 HH rating, 1.12 million Adults18-49, 1.1 million Adults 25-54 and 1.92 million total viewers. At 10:30 pm, the program delivered a 1.4 HH rating, 1.2 million Adults 18-49, 1.1 million Adults 25-54 and 1.95 million total viewers.
� Scare Tactics delivered its top two telecasts ever for Adults 18-34, with the 10:30pm telecast of Scare Tactics reaching a series-high with 623,000 Adults18-34, and the 10pm episode following with 578,000 Adults18-34.
� Both episodes also delivered the best performances for Scare Tactics in all key demos for any episode since the initial series premiere night on April 4, 2003.
� Compared to the season 2 premiere in March 2004, Scare Tactics' 10pm episode was up 18% in Adults18-34, 23% in Adults18-49 and 36% in Adults 25-54.
