CBS WINS THURSDAY IN VIEWERS CAPTURING EVERY HALF HOUR

"Survivor: Samoa" Places First in Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49

"CSI" Tops "Grey's Anatomy" in Viewers

"The Mentalist" Out Delivers the Season Premiere of "Private Practice"

CBS won the second Thursday of the new season in viewers, winning every half hour behind SURVIVOR: SAMOA, CSI and THE MENTALIST, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Oct. 1.

SURVIVOR: SAMOA was first in households (7.1/12), viewers (11.73m), adults 25-54 (4.7/12) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (3.7/11, with ABC). Compared to last week's broadcast, SURVIVOR: SAMOA was up +6% in households (from 6.7/11), +2% in adults 25-54 (from 4.6/12), even in adults 18-49 and added +70,000 viewers (from 11.66m, +1%).

CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was first in viewers (15.60m) and second in households (9.71/15 -0.1 behind ABC), adults 25-54 (5.3/12) and adults 18-49 (4.0/10).

THE MENTALIST was first in households (9.8/17) and viewers (15.18m) and second in adults 25-54 (4.8/10) and adults 18-49 (3.7/10). Compared to last week, THE MENTALIST was up +3% in both households (from 9.5/16) and adults 18-49 (from 3.6/10), even in adults 25-54 and added +110,000 viewers (from 15.07m, +1%).

For the night, CBS was first in households (8.9/15), viewers (14.17m), second in adults 25-54 (4.9/12) and adults 18-49 (3.8/11).

CBS won the second Thursday of the new season in viewers, winning every half hour behind SURVIVOR: SAMOA, CSI and THE MENTALIST, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Oct. 1.

SURVIVOR: SAMOA was first in households (6.9/11), viewers (11.54m), adults 25-54 (4.7/13) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (3.7/11, with ABC). Compared to last week's broadcast, SURVIVOR: SAMOA was up +3% in households (from 6.7/11), +2% in adults 25-54 (from 4.6/12) and even in adults 18-49.

CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was first in viewers (15.94m), tied for first in households (9.9/16, with ABC) and second in both adults 25-54 (5.3/13) and adults 18-49 (4.1/11).

THE MENTALIST was first in households (10.1/17) and viewers (15.75m) and second in adults 25-54 (4.9/13) and adults 18-49 (3.8/11). Compared to last week, THE MENTALIST was up +6% in both households (from 9.5/16) and adults 18-49 (from 3.6/10), +2% in adults 25-54 (from 4.8/12) and added +680,000 viewers (from 15.07m, +5%).

For the night, CBS was first in households (9.0/15), viewers (14.41m), second in adults 25-54 (5.0/13) and adults 18-49 (3.9/11).
