"The Big Bang Theory" Is the No. 1 Comedy in Adults 18-49; "Two and a Half Men" is Tops in Viewers and Adults 25-54
CBS placed first in viewers for the seventh time in eight weeks, powered by the CSI trilogy with all three editions the beneficiary of significant ratings increases, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Nov. 15 (week eight of the 2009-2010 television season).
NCIS again delivered more than 20 million viewers and was Tuesday's top program in all key measures. THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE, GARY UNMARRIED and SURVIVOR: SAMOA all delivered their largest audiences of the season while THE BIG BANG THEORY was the No. 1 comedy in adults 18-49 and TWO AND A HALF MEN was the top comedy in viewers and adults 18-49.
For the week in viewers: CBS (11.47m), ABC (11.15m), NBC (8.12m) and FOX (8.03m). Season-to-date, CBS is first in viewers (12.09m), ahead of ABC (10.29m), FOX (9.93m) and NBC (7.82m).
For the week in key demographics, CBS was second in adults 25-54 (3.7/09) and averaged a 2.8/08 in adults 18-49. Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 (4.2/10) and second in adults 18-49 (3.2/09).
For the week in households: CBS (7.2/12) was ahead of ABC (7.0/11), NBC (5.1/08) and FOX (4.8/08). In households, season-to-date, CBS is first (7.5/12), ahead of ABC (6.6/11), FOX (5.9/10) and NBC (4.9/08).

? CSI: MIAMI was first in households (9.2/15), viewers (14.38m), adults 25-54 (5.1/13), adults 18-49 (4.0/11) and adults 18-34 (2.8/08). Compared to last week, CSI: MIAMI was up +15% in households (from 8.0/13), +11% in both adults 25-54 (from 4.6/12) and adults 18-49 (from 3.6/10), +4% in adults 18-34 (from 2.7/08) and added +1.86m viewers (from 12.52m, +15%). CSI: MIAMI beat "Castle" and "The Jay Leno Show" combined in households (9.2/15 vs. 9.0/15, +2%), viewers (14.38m from 13.87m, +4%), adults 25-54 (5.1/13 vs. 4.5/12, +13%), adults 18-49 (4.0/11 vs. 3.6/09, +11%) and adults 18-34 (2.8/08 vs. 2.7/08, +4%).
? CSI: NY was second in households (9.3/16), viewers (14.51m), adults 25-54 (4.7/12) and adults 18-49 (3.8/10) behind "The Country Music Awards." Compared to last week, CSI: NY was up +21% in households (from 7.7/13), +24% in adults 25-54 (from 3.8/10), +36% in adults 18-49 (from 2.8/08) and added +2.51m viewers (from 12.00m, +21%). This was CSI: NY's best delivery since the Sept. 23, 2009 premiere in viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.
? CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION won its time period in households (10.9/17), viewers (17.38m). finished second in adults 25-54 (5.4/12) and adults 18-49 (4.1/10). Compared to last week, CSI was up +12% in households (from 9.7/15), +13% in adults 25-54 (from 4.8/11), +17% in adults 18-49 (from 3.5/09) and added +1.78m viewers (from 15.60m, +11%). This was CSI's best delivery in viewers since March 5, 2009 and matches season highs in adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.
? TWO AND A HALF MEN was first in adults 25-54 (5.8/13), adults 18-49 (4.6/11), adults 18-34 (3.1/08) and second in households (8.9/13) and viewers (14.44m). Compared to last week, TWO AND A HALF MEN was up +6% in households (from 8.4/12), +4% in adults 25-54 (from 5.6/12), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 4.4/11), +3% in adults 18-34 (from 3.0/08) and added +930,000 viewers (from 13.51m, +7%).
? THE BIG BANG THEORY was first in adults 25-54 (5.6/12), adults 18-49 (4.7/11), adults 18-34 (3.5/09), second in households (7.9/12) and viewers (12.80m). THE BIG BANG THEORY improved on its TWO AND A HALF MEN lead-in by +2% in adults 18-49 and +13% in adults 18-34.
? NCIS won its time slot in households (12.7/20), viewers (20.96m), adults 25-54 (6.0/15), adults 18-49 (4.4/12) and adults 18-34 (3.2/10). NCIS won this time period for the eighth consecutive week in households and viewers, seventh time in eight weeks in adults 25-54 and sixth time in eight weeks in adults 18-49. Compared to last week, NCIS was up +4% in households (from 12.2/19), +2% in both adults 25-54 (from 5.9/14) and adults 18-49 (from 4.3/11), even in adults 18-34 and added +780,000 viewers (from 20.18m, +4%). NCIS was the night's #1 program in viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. Every first-run episode of NCIS has delivered more than 20 million viewers this season.
? NCIS: LOS ANGELES won its time slot in viewers (16.233m, +0.002m head of ABC) adults 25-54 (5.0/12) and was second in both households (9.9/15) and adults 18-49 (3.7/09). Compared to last week, NCIS: LOS ANGELES was up +2% in both households (from 9.7/15) and adults 25-54 (from 4.9/11), +3% in adults 18-49 (from 3.6/09) and added +947,000 viewers (from 15.286m, +6%).
? THE GOOD WIFE was first in households (8.8/15), viewers (13.35m), adults 25-54 (3.9/10) and adults 18-49 (2.8/08). THE GOOD WIFE was first in this time period for the eighth consecutive week in households and viewers, first for the seventh time in eight weeks in adults 25-54 and first in adults 18-49 for the sixth time in eight weeks. THE GOOD WIFE was up +2% in households (from 8.6/15), +4% in adults 18-49 (from 2.7/08) and added +610,000 viewers (from 12.74m, +5%) compared to last week.
? THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE was second in households (4.5/07), viewers (7.20m), adults 25-54 (2.7/07) and adults 18-49 (2.1/06). Compared to last week, THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE was up +4% in adults 25-54 (from 2.6/07), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 2.0/06) and added +520,000 viewers (from 6.68m, +8%). This is the best delivery for THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE in viewers since Mar. 18, 2009, in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since Oct. 14, 2009.
? GARY UNMARRIED was second in viewers, adults 25-54 (3.0/07) and adults 18-49 (2.4/06), tied for second in households (4.5/07, with NBC). Compared to last week, GARY UNMARRIED was up +10% in households (from 4.1/06), +20% in both adults 25-54 (from 2.5/06) and adults 18-49 (from 2.0/05) and added +1.01m viewers (from 6.29m, +16%). This is GARY UNMARRIED's best delivery in viewers since Mar. 18, 2009, in adults 25-54 since Oct. 14, 2009 and in adults 18-49 since Dec. 10, 2008.
? SURVIVOR: SAMOA won its time period in households (7.5/12), viewers (12.94m), adults 25-54 (4.9/12) and adults 18-49 (4.0/11). Compared to last week, SURVIVOR: SAMOA was up +3% in households (from 7.3/11), +4% in adults 25-54 (from 4.7/12), +8% in adults 18-49 (from 3.7/10) and added +500,000 viewers (from 12.44m, +4%). This matched SURVIVOR: SAMOA's best delivery this season in viewers and was the second best adult 18-49 performance.
