CBS Poised to Capture Ninth Consecutive November Sweep Victory in Viewers

CBS Has Nine of the Top 10 Scripted Series Led by No. 1 "NCIS"

"The Mentalist" Beats "Private Practice" in Adults 18-49 by its Largest Margin

Wednesday Comedies Hit Season Highs

CBS placed first in viewers, adults 18-49 (tie) and adults 25-54 with nine of the Top 10 scripted series led by No. 1 NCIS, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Nov. 22, week nine of the 2009-2010 television season.

With three nights remaining in the November sweep, CBS is poised to capture its ninth consecutive November victory in viewers. Projected full sweep averages: CBS (11.27m), NBC (7.37m), ABC (10.20m) and FOX (9.78m).

CBS's November win was led by NCIS (the No. 1 series of the month), THE MENTALIST, the Monday comedies, freshman series NCIS: LOS ANGELES and THE GOOD WIFE, the continued strong showings for SURVIVOR and THE AMAZING RACE and the CSI trilogy which significantly boosted all three editions, including the largest audience for CSI since last March.

For the week in viewers: CBS (11.62m), NBC (7.46m), ABC (10.01m) and FOX (6.31m).

For the week in adults 25-54: CBS (3.9/10), NBC (2.9/07), ABC (3.6/09) and FOX (2.5/06).

For the week in adults 18-49: CBS (3.0/08), NBC (2.5/07), ABC (3.0/08) and FOX (2.4/07).

? TWO AND A HALF MEN was first in adults 25-54 (5.8/13), adults 18-49 (4.7/12), adults 18-34 (3.4/09) and second in households (8.4/13) and viewers (13.69m).

? THE BIG BANG THEORY was first in adults 25-54 (5.9/13), adults 18-49 (5.0/12), adults 18-34 (4.0/11) and second in households (7.9/12) and viewers (13.23m). THE BIG BANG THEORY improved on its TWO AND A HALF MEN lead-in by +2% in adults 25-54, +6% in adults 18-49 and +18% in adults 18-34. Compared to last week,

? CSI: MIAMI was first in households (8.5/15), viewers (13.26m), adults 25-54 (4.7/12), adults 18-49 (3.7/10) and adults 18-34 (2.8/09).

? NCIS won its time slot in households (12.3/19), viewers (20.34m), adults 25-54 (5.7/14), adults 18-49 (4.1/11) and adults 18-34 (2.8/09). NCIS was Tuesday's #1 program in viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. Every first-run episode of NCIS has delivered more than 20 million viewers this season.

? NCIS: LOS ANGELES was tied for first in adults 25-54 (4.6/11, with ABC), second in households (9.3/14), viewers (14.87m) and adults 18-49 (3.4/09).

? THE GOOD WIFE was first in households (8.4/15), viewers (12.70m), adults 25-54 (3.7/10) and adults 18-49 (2.6/08).

? THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE was first in adults 25-54 (2.9/08), adults 18-49 (2.2/07), second in households (4.6/08) and viewers (7.27m). Compared to last week, THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE was up +2% in households (from 4.5/07), +7% in adults 25-54 (from 2.7/07), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 2.1/06) and added +70,000 viewers (from 7.20m, +1%). This was the best viewer delivery for THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE since Mar. 11, 2009, best adults 25-54 performance since Mar. 18, 2009, and matches its best adults 18-49 delivery this season.

? GARY UNMARRIED was first in adults 25-54 (3.1/08), tied for first in adults 18-49 (2.4/07, with ABC), second in households (4.4/07) and viewers (7.00m). Compared to last week, GARY UNMARRIED was up +3% in adults 25-54 (from 3.0/07) and even in adults 18-49. This was GARY UNMARRIED's best delivery in adults 25-54 since Dec. 10, 2008, and matches its best adults 18-49 delivery this season.

? CRIMINAL MINDS was first in households (8.6/14), viewers (13.70m), adults 25-54 (4.9/12) and adults 18-49 (3.7/10). Compared to last week, CRIMINAL MINDS was up +9% in both households (from 7.9/12) and adults 18-49 (from 3.4/09), +11% in adults 25-54 (from 4.4/10) and added +930,000 (from 12.77m, +7%). This was CRIMINAL MINDS's best delivery in these measures since Oct. 21, 2009.

? CSI: NY was first in households (8.7/15), viewers (13.62m), adults 25-54 (4.2/11) and adults 18-49 (3.2/09). CSI: NY beat NBC and ABC combined in viewers (vs. 11.41m, +19%).

? SURVIVOR: SAMOA won its time period in households (7.2/11), viewers (12.33m), adults 25-54 (4.8/12), adults 18-49 (3.8/11) and adults 18-34 (2.4/07).

? CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION won its time period in households (9.2/14), viewers (14.91m), it finished second in adults 25-54 (4.6/11) and adults 18-49 (3.5/09).

? THE MENTALIST won its time period in households (10.0/17), viewers (15.85m), adults 25-54 (4.9/13) and adults 18-49 (3.7/11). THE MENTALIST posted its largest margin of victory this season over "Private Practice" with first run episodes in adults 25-54 (+1.4 rtg pts) and in adults 18-49 (+0.6 rtg pts). Compared to last week, THE MENTALIST was up +3% in adults 18-49 (from 3.6/11) and even in adults 25-54.
