Nickelodeon's iCarly Tops Basic Cable on Friday with Total Viewers, Kids and Tweens
For a second time this month, iCarly grabbed basic cable's top spot with total viewers (P2+) on Friday night (March 19, 8 p.m. ET/PT). iCarly's "iMove Out" topped basic cable overall with total viewers (3.8 million), kids and tweens for the night.
iCarly "iMove Out" also bested all broadcast and cable programming with kids 2-11, 6-11 and tweens for the night, posting double- and triple-digit gains over last year with all key demos and averaging an 7.6/1.6 million K6-11 (+73%), 6.2/1.3 million T9-14 (+158%) and a 6.1/2.2 million K2-11 (+36%). iCarly, Nickelodeon's most successful live-action series ever, is the quarter to date's top live-action series with kids 2-11 and basic cable's top tween 9-14 program for February.
Big Time Rush also drew gains with kids, tweens and total viewers with the brand-new episode "Big Time Demos" (March 19, 8:30 p.m. ET/PT). The telecast averaged a 6.8/1.5 million K6-11 (+62% over last year), 5.2/1.1 million T9-14 (+86%), 5.3/1.9 million K2-11 (+18%) and delivered gains of +9% among total viewers (3.1 million). Nick's record-setting Big Time Rush follows iCarly as broadcast and basic cable's top live-action show with kids 2-11 in February.
For the week (3.8/10-3/14/10), Nickelodeon topped basic cable with kids 2-11, 6-11 and total viewers, averaging a 3.3/1.2 million K2-11, 2.9/618,000 K6-11, 2.1/459,000 T9-14 and 2.2 million total viewers. Nick snagged the top 20 telecasts on broadcast and basic cable with kids 2-11, including SpongeBob SquarePants, iCarly, The Penguins of Madagascar and Fanboy and Chum Chum, and took basic cable's top 14 kids' telecasts with total viewers. iCarly "iMove Out" was broadcast and basic cable's number-one telecast for the week with kids 6-11 and tweens.
