"BIG BROTHER" POSTS BEST SUNDAY DELIVERIES IN VIEWERS AND ADULTS 18-49 SINCE "BIG BROTHER 9" IN APRIL 2008
Against Increased Competition, "Big Brother" Posts Gains Over Last Week in Viewers, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34
BIG BROTHER posted its best Sunday deliveries in viewers and adults 18-49 since April 13, 2008 ("Big Brother 9"), according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for August 29, a night that included "The Primetime Emmy Awards" on NBC and pre-season NFL Football on FOX.
BIG BROTHER SUNDAY (4.6/08, 7.85m) averaged a 3.3/09 in adults 25-54, 2.8/08 in adults 18-49 and 2.4/08 in adults 18-34. Compared to last week, BIG BROTHER SUNDAY was up +5% in households (from 4.4/08), +8% in adults 18-49 (from 2.6/08), +9% in adults 18-34 (from 2.2/07), even in adults 25-54 and added +120,000 viewers (from 7.73m, +2%).
Compared to the same night last year (when the program did not air against the Emmy Awards), BIG BROTHER SUNDAY was up +2% in households (from 4.5/08), +6% in adults 25-54 (from 3.1/08), +8% in adults 18-49 (from 2.6/08), +20% in adults 18-34 (from 2.0/06) and added +410,000 viewers (from 7.44m, +6%).
