ABC's Grey's and Modern Family are TV's Top 18-49 Gainers via DVR

For the 2nd consecutive week this season, ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" and "Modern Family" stood as TV's Top 2 biggest gainers from the first-reported numbers to the DVR finals in Adults 18-49. "Grey's" and "Modern Family" each picked up an identical 1.5 rating points, surging by +33% from a 4.6 rating to a 6.1 rating, from the Live + Same Day to the Live + 7 Day Adult 18-49 averages. Both ABC series also added on 3.0 million more Total Viewers from their initial averages: Grey's (12.6 million to 15.6 million) and Modern Family (11.9 million to 14.9 million). In addition, the DVR lift for "Grey's Anatomy" and "Modern Family" was even greater on Week 2 of the season than on Week 1.
· A total of 10 ABC series gained 1.0 million viewers or more on average from their originally reported numbers to the final DVR playback stats, including "Grey's Anatomy" (+3.0 million), "Modern Family" (+3.0 million), "Castle" (+2.4 million), "Private Practice" (+2.0 million), "Desperate Housewives" (+1.7 million), "Brothers & Sisters" (+1.5 million), "Cougar Town" (+1.4 million), "No Ordinary Family" (+1.3 million), "Detroit 1-8-7" (+1.3 million) and "The Whole Truth" (+1.2 million).
· Among Adults 18-49, 6 of ABC's scripted series registered substantial ratings increases of 7-tenths of rating point or more: "Grey's Anatomy" (+1.5 rating), "Modern Family" (+1.5 rating), "Private Practice" (+1.0 rating), "Desperate Housewives" (+0.9 rating), "Castle" (+0.8 rating) and "Cougar Town" (+0.7 rating).
