"Parenthood" Delivers Biggest Increase from Live+SD to Live+7
NBC further spins the numbers for the week of October 4-10.

NBC Results: "Parenthood" Delivers Biggest Increase from Live+SD to Live+7; "Event" #1 Among New Shows; "Office," "30 Rock" #1 Among Comedies

In "live plus seven" results for Week 3 of the new season...

"Parenthood" is the #1 series in terms of percentage increase (+44%, 18-49 from L+SD to L+7).

"The Event" earned the #1 percentage increase among new shows (+38%).

"Outsourced" generated the #1 percentage increase among new half-hour comedies (+22%).

"The Office" (+36%) and "30 Rock" (+36%) generated the #1 and #2 biggest increases among half-hour comedies and "Community" (+29%) was #4.

"Apprentice" delivered the #1 percentage increase among unscripted shows (+29%).

Live Plus 7 Notes for Week 3 (October 4-10):

In the season's third week, "Parenthood" added 44 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure (to a 3.00 rating from a 2.08). On a percentage basis, "Parenthood" was the #1 biggest gainer from L+SD to L+7 among primetime series during week three on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW.

In the season's third week, "The Event" added 38 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure (to a 3.29 rating from a 2.39). On a percentage basis, "The Event" was the #1 biggest gainer from L+SD to L+7 among new series this season during week three on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW.

Starting with no time-shifted viewing by using its "live only" rating as the base, "The Event" derived 42 percent of its "L+7" rating from time-shifted viewing (1.39 points of a 3.29 rating in L+7), making "The Event" the most time-shifted new primetime series on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW on a percentage basis for a third week in a row.

In the season's third week, "The Office" added 36 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure (to a 4.74 rating from a 3.49). On a percentage basis, "The Office" was the #1 biggest gainer from L+SD to L+7 among primetime half-hour comedies during week three on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW.

In the season's third week, "30 Rock" added 36 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure (to a 2.92 rating from a 2.15). "30 Rock" was the #2 biggest gainer from L+SD to L+7 among primetime half-hour comedies during week three on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW, behind only "The Office."

In the season's third week, "Community" added 29 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure (to a 2.28 rating from a 1.77). On a percentage basis, "Community" was the #4 biggest gainer from L+SD to L+7 among primetime half-hour comedies during week three on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW, behind only "The Office," "30 Rock" and "Modern Family."

In the season's third week, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" added 29 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure (to a 3.31 rating from a 2.56).

In the season's third week, "The Apprentice" added 29 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure (to a 1.66 rating from a 1.29). On a percentage basis, For a third week in a row, "The Apprentice" was the #1 biggest gainer from L+SD to L+7 among unscripted primetime series during week three on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW.

In the season's third week, "Chase" added 25 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure (to a 2.15 rating from a 1.72).

In the season's third week, "Chuck" added 24 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure (to a 2.34 rating from a 1.88).

In the season's third week, "Outsourced" added 22 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure (to a 3.03 rating from a 2.49). On a percentage basis, "Outsourced" was the #1 biggest gainer from L+SD to L+7 among first-year half-hour comedies during week three on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW (tied at 22 percent with "Raising Hope," and a slightly higher percentage when taken to a tenth of a point, 21.7 percent vs. 21.6 percent).

Other NBC series also delivered solid increases in L+7 vs. L+SD, including a 31% increase for "Outlaw," an 18 percent gain for "Law & Order: Los Angeles," a 17 percent jump for "Biggest Loser" and a 13 percent increase for "Undercovers."
