ABC's "20/20" and "Primetime" Top Friday Night
ABC stood as the #1 network on Friday in Adults 18-49, beating NBC by 8%, CBS by 17% and Fox by 133%. The Net also held the #1 position on the evening in Adults 25-54, as 20/20 emerged as Friday's top-rated program in the key news demographic.
At 8pm, ABC's Supernanny ranked #1 in Adults 18-49, drawing its biggest audience in a month (since 11/12/10) and equaling a season-high in young adults.
Jumping 25% from its lead-in at 9pm, ABC's Primetime: What Would You Do? bested its network rivals in the 9 o'clock hour by solid margins in Adults 18-49, leading CBS' CSI: NY encore by 15%, NBC's Dateline by 25% and Fox's The Good Guys by 114%. Additionally, the ABC newsmagazine delivered the #1 position in its hour among Adults 25-54.
· Primetime: What Would You Do? was up week to week in both Total Viewers and Adults 18-49.
At 10pm, ABC's 20/20 finished as Friday's #1 TV show among Adults 25-54. In addition, ABC's 20/20 and Primetime: What Would You Do? tied as the night's highest-rated shows on the major nets in Adults 18-49. 20/20 featured reports on the modern version of the seven wonders -- real people with superpowers they've developed by dedicating their lives to the basic human urge to overcome limitations.
