UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. � January 21, 2011 � NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" has outscored all cable and broadcast entertainment competition in the time period in 18-49 viewers and total viewers for the week of January 10-14, delivering bigger audiences than CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman" and ABC's combination of "Nightline" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in all key ratings categories. Note that Wednesday's ABC and CBS programs were delayed by news coverage and are excluded from weeklong averages.

At 12:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" also delivered bigger audiences than CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" in all key ratings categories: adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.

Through the first 17 weeks of the 2010-11 season, "Tonight" is leading "Late Show" by 11 percent in adult 18-49 viewers (1.287 million vs. 1.155 million), up from a 4 percent lead at this point last season (1.394 million vs. 1.343 million). In total viewers, "Tonight" leads "Late Show" through 17 weeks of the season by an 8 percent margin (3.856 million vs. 3.579 million), reversing the order of one year ago, when "Late Show" led by a 62 percent advantage (4.212 million vs. 2.596 million).

Through the first 17 weeks of the 2010-11 season, Jimmy Fallon is leading "Late Late Show" by a 19 percent margin in adult 18-49 viewers (814,000 vs. 683,000), up from a 1 percent lead at this point last season (803,000 vs. 796,000). In total viewers, Jimmy has cut the year-ago "Late Late Show" lead down to 0.2 percent (1.781 million vs. 1.777 million) from its year-ago 38 percent (1.950 million vs. 1.410 million).

Versus the first 17 weeks of last season, "Tonight" is running within 8 percent of its year-ago 18-49 viewership (1.287 million vs. 1.394 million), while "Late Show" is down 14 percent in 18-49 viewers (1.155 million vs. 1.343 million). At 12:35 a.m. ET, Jimmy Fallon is matching his year-ago 0.6 rating in adults 18-49 and is up 1 percent in 18-49 viewers (814,000 vs. 803,000), while "Late Late Show" is down in rating by 17 percent (0.5 vs. 0.6) and down in 18-49 viewers by 14 percent (683,000 vs. 796,000).

In total viewers, "Tonight" is up 49 percent versus its average viewership for the first 17 weeks of last season (3.856 million vs. 2.596 million), while "Late Show" is down 15 percent (3.579 million vs. 4.212 million). At 12:35 a.m. ET, Jimmy Fallon is up 26 percent versus his year-ago pace in total viewers (1.777 million vs. 1.410 million), while "Late Late Show" is down 9 percent (1.781 million vs. 1.950 million).

At 1:35 a.m. ET, "Last Call with Carson Daly" is up so far this season versus one year ago by 13 percent in 18-49 viewers (502,000 vs. 446,000) and up 26 percent in total viewers (1.005 million vs. 800,000).
