NEW YORK - April 12, 2011 - Continuing Syfy's 2011 ratings momentum, Being Human became the channel's most successful new winter scripted series since Battlestar Galactica in 2005, entrancing 1.66 million total viewers, 1.0 million Adults
25-54 and 944,000 Adults 18-49 during the season one finale Monday, April 11, at 9PM (ET/PT).
This was the best performance in all three measures for Being Human, which has been renewed for a second season, since the January 24 episode.
Compared to last week's telecast, Being Human rose 17% in Adults18-49, 29% in Adults 25-54 and 16% among total viewers.
For the season, Being Human averaged a 1.3 HH rating, 996,000 Adults 18-49, 978,000 Adults 25-54 and 1.8 million total viewers, including 7-day DVR playback data where available.
Being Human is Syfy's youngest skewing scripted series since Battlestar Galactica in winter 2007.
Being Human also became Syfy's most female-skewing original scripted series ever, comprising 53 percent women viewers through its 13-episode season. Led by Being Human's strength in this demo, Syfy rose seven percent in Women 18-34 during First Quarter '11.

Being Human earned a total of 2.8 million page views, 874K uniques, 1.0 million visits and 2.3 million video streams.
Boosted by Shazam, Being Human was the most popular Syfy mobile show site across all key metrics, delivering an additional 750K page views, 193K uniques, 226K visits and 50K video streams.
Syfy's overall First Quarter climb of 16 percent in Adults 18-34 and 12 percent among total viewers was also boosted by the freshman hit Face Off and sophomore sensation Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files, which has shattered series records in each of its first three episodes this season.
In Being Human, leading normal lives is a lot harder than it looks for three paranormal roommates -- vampire Aidan (Sam Witwer), ghost Sally (Meaghan Rath) and werewolf Josh (Sam Huntington) -- who share their secrets and a Boston brownstone. Together they try their best to be human while navigating the complexities of living double lives. Mark Pellegrino (Lost) co-stars as Bishop, Aidan's charismatic but menacing vampire mentor.
