ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Grows its Overall Audience Year to Year for the 4th Straight Week
Some early points on Jimmy Kimmel Live's weekly numbers, ahead of the regular press release:
During the week of April 4, 2011, ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live saw gains over the year-ago week in Total Viewers (+7%) and Adults 18-34 (+2%), building year to year for the 4th consecutive week in viewers and for the 3rd time in the last 4 weeks in young adults. Impressively, JKL posted the largest yearly increase of any late-night broadcast program in viewers.
· JKL's Tuesday telecast (4/5/11) drew the ABC late-night program's third largest audience on any night this season. On that evening, JKL bested NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno by 8% in Adults 18-34.
· For the week, ABC's JKL outperformed CBS' The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson in Total Viewers (+7%) for the 4th week running and also drew a larger overall audience than NBC's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (+7%) for the 3rd straight week.
· On average for the season to date (29 weeks), Jimmy Kimmel Live posts increases over the comparable weeks last year in both Total Viewers (+4%) and Adults 18-49 (+3%).
